The sunlight touched Rhaenyra's skin and the warmth of the wind blew through her. Slowly, her purple eyes dilated as soon she awoke from her slumber sleep. Sitting up, she looked around to see her ladies-in-waiting in an absence, until she realized that she had awoken earlier than usual. But just as she thought of it, the door of her chamber opened, revealing Linda and Merla at her presence.

"You have awoken earlier today, princess," Linda smiled at the silver head

Merla smiled as well at the sight of the sitting young woman, "Good Morrow, princess Rhaenyra, we have prepared your wardrobe. We have time to do your hair since the food is yet to be brought to the dining hall."

The princess nodded at this and gave both of her ladies a weak smile. With that, she carefully stood up before finally letting the ladies undress her to do their duty. They have chosen a yellow dress for the princess that came along with her favorite jewelries; a necklace, rings, and one bracelet. Then comes her hair— Merla and Linda debated whether they should keep the princess' hair up or down, but Rhaenyra ended their squabble by declaring that it's best to have it down and only bits of braiding.

The two eventually agreed and did their work anyway. Merla ran her fingers through Rhaenyra's silver hair, amused by its sight. "I have only touched your hair for a few but you Targaryens do have remarkable hair, don't you, princess?"

Rhaenyra smiled as she sat in front of a mirror. Her purple eyes fell on Merla through the mirror in front of her, "Thank you, my lady,"

"I concur, princess. The eyes, the hairs, and the dragons— Targaryens are truly the gods' favorites!" Linda proclaimed in an exaggerated manner,

are we? I oppose this statement. we are far to be the gods' favorite. we're merely gifted with a curse that runs within this family lineage— The princess thought in her head.

"I dispute that," Rhaenyra forced a chuckle. The ladies mustn't have noticed considering they seemed to take it as a jest with their giggles.

After the long minutes of touching and braiding the princess' hair, it was finally settled, "All finished, princess," Linda smiled adoringly.

Rhaenyra viewed herself properly in the mirror, seeing how her silver hair is down but when she turned to the side to take a look, she saw how beautifully braided her hair was. She smiled genuinely before standing up, "And you both—" she turned to look at them, "Are blessed with your hands. I thank both of you for your wonderful service,"

Linda grinned and clasped her hands together, "We are very much honored to serve the princess of Targaryen," to this, the young princess giggled before shaking her head

"Enough with this flattery, take me now to the dining hall, my mother and uncle are probably waiting now,"

The three ladies finally exited the chambers with positiveness written on their faces, claiming to be in a good mood. They headed their ways down and were greeted by the fellow members inside the Hightower. Finally, the long awaited moment, Rhaenyra entered the dining hall immediately meeting the queen's eyes who met hers.

Alicent's reaction this morning was unreadable after seeing the princess in her dress. "You look rather ravishing today. What's the occasion, my dear niece?" as if their staring moment has been disrupted, Rhaenyra's eyes teared away from Alicent to her uncle before bringing herself to move again,
