Rhaenyra sighed as she made her way towards her father's whereabouts. "Is he that pissed?"

"I believe so.." Alaric answered behind her. "He said that your behavior towards his soon to be wife is.. crude."

The princess scoffed, "It is crude." She rolled her eyes.

When she finally made it to her father's chambers, Alaric stood outside and she slowly went inside the room, making Alicent and Viserys turn their heads to her.

"Rhaenyra." He spoke in a lower tone.

"Father." She replied nonchalantly, not making any eye contact to the lady Alicent who kept her eyes at the princess.

"What is this I'm hearing from Alicent? Why can't you get along?" He raised his voice.

The princess stood there with her hands behind her back, keeping a straight face, "I didn't do such a thing. Maybe lady Alicent is just easily affected." She lowkey smirked at the ginger head.

"You will respect the woman and will treat her as a family. I order you to stick close to the lady Alicent  and with that, you must guide her, assist her, and help her." The king glared at his daughter who lost her composure.

Her hands slowly fell to her sides and her purple eyes widened when she turned her head back to her father in surprise. "What, like a lady-in-waiting? A personal assistant of her- I am the princess, father. Your daughter. Why should I-"

"Because I command it, Rhaenyra!" He raised his voice, louder than normal. Firm and strict that made her and Alicent flinch in the room.

Pain and disbelief are plastered on her face, "How could you do this to me? Are you to treat me like a nobody now?" Her voice croaked in despair.

The king sighed and shook his head, "You are not a lady-in-waiting, not a personal maid of Alicent but a friend and a daughter. You shall be with her everyday if it means it will make a great bond out of the two of you."

Rhaenyra shook her head, "No. How could you? Your wi- my mother, Esther, would not be pleased about thi-"

"Esther is long gone which is why we shall move forward and not to the past! this wouldn't have happened if your mother was still alive." Both women's breath hitched at the king's temper. Rhaenyra's heart hammered in her chest, loudly, afraid that her father and his mistress are to hear it. She swallowed a lump in her throat as she fights the tear from rolling down.

"I loathe you." Her voice broke as her lips trembled.

Alicent noticed it and she glanced to Viserys before back to his daughter. She doesn't know what to feel for the kid. Her pride kept her to feel that the princess deserves to be scolded but the Alicent heart of hers feels sympathetic towards Rhaenyra.

"You will dare no speak such things like that towards the king." He pointed his fingers towards his daughter with a warning look.

Rhaenyra's tear finally came down while she tried to keep a straight face. She scoffed and smiled bitterly, "Right. The king."

Rhaenyra clenched her jaw and forced herself to slowly bend her knees and bow down in curtsy, "Forgive me, your grace. I must have seemed to lose my father." She murmured sarcastically as she speaks from pain. The king and his mistress watched her in surprise before the princess could walk out the room.

Days passed and it was time for Alicent and the king's wedding. Which means, it's also time for Rhaenyra to do her duty; to dress the lady Alicent.

Dorcas had been comforting Rhaenyra throughout the days as well when the princess came into her complaining and crying about everything. How most of the time she only escorts Alicent to wherever she goes and after that, the white head girl would make her leave. The blonde girl couldn't help but feel bad for the princess. She would sometimes let the purple eyed girl lay her head down on her lap and Dorcas would play with her hair.
