You can play the song once you see my note in the middle of the story.
While the night sky was aglow above the city lights, Daemon stands before the king who sits on his Iron Throne, looking up casually, he speaks, "Will we help the Baratheons if ever?"
Viserys replied, "We will. If Deraumon is coming after the throne like he said, it's best to have an allegiance with the Baratheons."
Julius stood beside the king's throne, a doubtful look on his face, "But your grace, even if we did win the battle alongside the Baratheons, how are we certain that they will pledge loyalty to us? There could be any way to send their gratitude, and if they did that other than to pledge allegiance then we will probably just lose a lot of men during the battle."
"Then let us offer them the allegiance beforehand so that no men will be wasted after the battle if they do not bend a knee." the king sighed beside him.
Julius inhaled deeply before clasping his hand together. Daemon noticed the unsatisfied look on The Hand's face. When their eyes met; they held it for seconds before the Laurent decided to speak, "We will send them the ravens offering for an alliance as soon as possible, your grace." and with that— he walked down and passed Daemon as he left the Throne Hall.
Daemon waited until Julius was out of the room before could speak to his brother again, "I'm growing weary of his choices." he insulted with a chuckle,
"He only plays the cards right. He plays safe unlike you." Viserys exclaimed
"Does he? but which card is his hand really clinging onto?" the prince took a step forward
"What are you implying?" Viserys frowned
"He is a leech, how can you not see that, your grace?" Daemon's voice hardened, pointing a finger behind him towards the door.
The king sighed heavily, "If there would be any leech in this room then it's you. You have always been doubting my men at court to the point that you have doubted Rhaenyra for any mistaken behaviors and relationships. You have sucked the life out of me, Daemon. You are becoming one of my political headaches."
The prince stood there like a statue. He didn't move for seconds, nor did he say anything. He just stared at his brother, the King. His eyes watched him sit there with a frown on his face as he looked down on him from his position. Daemon sighed before breaking the eye contact and letting out a humorless chuckle, but Viserys did not find it amusing. He gripped on his throne arm as he watched Daemon before him. "My wife and daughter are not here with me, save me the pain, Daemon." he said.
The prince shook his head, "Very well. I will send my bronze bitch to Oldtown to keep an eye on them."
"And what can that woman do if the Oldtown is invaded again?" the king spat, clearly not interested in some woman being sent to watch over her daughter and wife. "Would she be able to protect Alicent? Rhaenyra?" he groaned.
Daemon chuckled as a very clear flashback ran behind his head, "Believe me, there's more to that whore than her cunt and mouth." with those words, it could be seen through Viserys that his choices of words left him unimpressed. The prince then turned around to leave the king and exit the Throne Hall.
Meanwhile in Oldtown, Rhaenyra was woken up by Linda and Merla who entered her room and had already prepared her dress for the day. "The Queen requests your presence for dine, princess. Ser Ector is already there." Merla informed as she buttons the princess' dress from behind.
