"So that's the kitchen, pantry, and supplies. Whatever you need, let me know and I'll get it for you" Tony said as you both came out of the commercial kitchen that was attached to a smaller regular kitchen and large dining room.

"I think you have every gadget imaginable in there. I can't wait to jump in and start!" you said looking over everything in your folder.

"There's everyone's dietary needs and preferences" Tony observed you looking over the files.

There were names, photos, and their food likes and dislikes on the sheets you were given.

Tony and his wife Pepper were having dinner one night and they couldn't get over how well their food tasted. They asked for the chef, and you walked out, expecting to have to defend your dish, but you were met with praises and a job offer on the spot.

Yes, THE Tony Stark offered YOU a job cooking for the Avengers. You would be the head chef, preparing meals, snacks, and catering any parties he wanted to throw, and you were more than happy to accept his offer.

"Tomorrow, 5am start. Here are the security clearances and information on navigating the compound. The kitchen is always stocked, so you shouldn't have any problems figuring out what to make"

You nodded.

"You can also order in whatever food you want as well. You'll get a schedule emailed to you once a week so you know how many people you need to make meals for, of course that can change, if any emergency comes up"

You nodded again feeling like a bobblehead.

You already had a bunch of ideas about meals, but you needed to study everyone's preferences first before you could let loose.

When you arrived back at your apartment, you read the information Tony handed you. You stayed up that night, reading over everyone's preferences, likes, and dislikes, making notes, organizing meals, reviewing schedules. You were excited and nervous to cook for the Avengers, but you managed to get a few hours of sleep before your alarm sounded.

The next day, you arrived bright and early to the compound. You found your way to the dining room and kitchen, fired up the oven, made coffee, and proceeded to organize things how you like them.

You wandered out of the kitchen and decided to set the large table, placing plates, cutlery, napkins, glasses, cups, and a few small vases with flowers on the table to brighten up the place. You wanted to make a good first impression, then you headed back to the kitchen to start.

Bucky looked over at his clock for the 100th time that night and decided forcing himself to sleep was useless, so he got up and started his day. He hated that his sleep patterns were so screwed up.

Some nights he barely slept an hour, and other nights, he slept like a rock. He grumbled to himself as he changed and got himself dressed and cleaned up. He was having a hard time fitting in at the compound. He felt like everyone was walking on eggshells when they were around him. He felt stares and heard whispers from the other agents, almost waiting to see if he would turn into the Winter Soldier.
