"Kiley, wait up!" I called after Kiley, wait, she can't hear me...

Idiot, she can't hear you... it's been a month already, get used to it.

I took off after her, bumping into lots of people. I placed my hands on her shoulders, causing her to jump.

She placed her palm on her chest as she took a deep breath.

I smiled slightly and mouthed, 'I'm sorry'.

We made our way outside and sat on a bench. I stared at the sky as Kiley took a book out of her bag and opened it.

She was reading another book she borrowed from the library. That became a thing now. 

I just looked at the sky, mentally naming odd-shaped clouds.

Right here, right now, the peaceful silence wrapped around us.

A silence that says a thousand words.
