Andrew:
I've been looking all over for Kiley, no luck in finding her. Only place left to look for is the library.
I mentally smacked myself. Of course she's there.
I sprinted to the library and opened the door. The librarian gave me a soft look. "Are you looking for the girl?"
I nodded and glanced around. "Yeah, have you seen her?"
She nodded. "She came in just as the door bell rung," she said. "But I haven't seen her around, though."
"Thank you, miss." I nodded and walked further into the library. I heard quiet sniffs and followed them.
Kiley was sitting on the floor, at the end of the hall, The Mortal Instruments in her hands. Her nose was red and her cheeks were puffy.
I knelt in front of her and her gaze shot up to me. She just looked...emotionless.
'Are you okay?' I asked.
She just looked at me and finally signed.
'No need to act like you care just because I'm deaf.'
