Kiley:

It's Sunday morning. I wake up lazily and rolled on the bed slowly, looking at the clock beside me. It read 9:47am. I ignored it and looked at the ceiling, relaxing.

Sometimes being deaf comes in handy. I'm in peace all day, everyday. But, sometimes I miss the sound of nature and people's voices.

I wish I could hear my mother's sweet voice again, I wish I could hear my father's.

I wish I could hear Andrew's.

My next pill has to be taken at ten o'clock. Mom's strict with these things.

Slowly rolling off my bed, I sat up on the edge and swung my legs out. As my bare feet touched the warm fluffy carpet, I smiled.

It feels nice.

I got up, walking into my walking closet and changing into a pair of comfortable shorts and a loose tank top. I got out and went to the bathroom, did my things, and went downstairs.

Mom was watching her anime series in the living room, with Netflix. She can be such a kid sometimes, but then again, some of those series are bloody...

Walking to the kitchen I took the small bottle and opened it, taking out another pill. I opened the fridge and took out a bottle of water, closing it again.

Once I gulped down my pill, I went to the counter and took my plate of breakfast, going to sit down at the couch beside mom's.

She was sprawled over the couch like a drunken man as she watched TV. Mom smiled at me cheekily.

'Goodmorning, Sweetie.'

'Goodmorning, mom.' I smiled back at her.

I finished my food and placed the plate down on the coffee table, then I took a book that was lying there and leaned back on the couch, opening it and started to read.

That's how I'm spending my morning. In peace.
