Andrew:

I had sent Kiley a text through Kik, asking her if she could meet me by the park at noon. She replied quickly, saying yes, which made me feel better.

I changed into some white shorts and a blue t-shirt, putting on some white converse. I took my bike and quickly made my way to the park.

Kiley was already there, sitting on a bench, looking at the little baby ducklings walk by, a smile on her lips.

She looked relaxed and happy there. I smiled at that and leaned my bike on the fence.

I took long, quiet steps towards her and wrapped my arms around her from behind.

She looked up quickly and smiled at me. She signed.

'You're late.' She grinned.

I gave her an apologetic smile. 'I'm sorry, Ki.'

Then I rounded the bench and sat besides her, putting my arm around her shoulders.

Kiley looked up at me and frowned slightly. She backed away a bit and held my hand. She made signs.

'Why did you ask me to come here?'

I sighed and replied. 'You're acting kinda sad. I just want to know what's wrong.'

Kiley gave me a sad smile. 'I'm sorry I avoided you... I just needed some time alone.'

I returned the smile and leaned forward, softly kissing her forehead. 'It's okay... just tell me what it is, please?'

She nodded and started explaining. 'Dad left again, it's an emergency, and I'm very worried.'

'It's okay, you said your father is a fighter...he'll come back.' I assured her with a soft look on my face. She just nodded and a little smile came to her lips.

I brought her close to me again and held her tight, to comfort her. She layed her head on my shoulder, and we stayed there in silence.

I played with her soft hair while she took my other hand and started to play with my fingers. I couldn't resist but laugh softly and kiss her head gently.

I absolutely love this.
