it was a warm november morning and y/n was out with her friends; sitting at an empty table of a pastry shop.

while waiting for their orders, the girls were talking about school and their exams- until sasha remembered something else.

"yesterday you said something about your birthday wish coming true! so, what was it?" she asked, smiling at y/n.

"oh! i wished for the whole situation with zeke to be over. and, boom, i have zero feelings for him! he wasn't that hard to forget, after all" she answered, proudly.

zeke yeager; y/n's ex crush. one-sided crush.

"you like jean, don't you?"

"huh?"

historia laughed softly at y/n's reaction; her face slowly getting redder, as she turned her head away.

"so this is love~"

"shut up, sasha! oh my god!" she said, fanning her face with her hands.

"ha! i was right!" sasha said, grinning at historia.

"is it that obvious...?"

"we were able to tell. but jean? nah, he's... stupid" historia said, making y/n laugh.

"yeah, noticed you were talking a lot about him, and also, your eyes had that little sparkle in them. oh, and when you're talking to him? that's another story" sasha said, sipping on her milkshake.

"i'm so proud of you for getting over that idiot zeke"

"thank you, historia!"

y/n was relieved she didn't have to tell them, cause talking about her feelings wasn't the easiest thing in the world. so, she thanked god that her friends weren't oblivious or stupid.

sasha looked at her best friend, smiling softly.

"you know... you look good together"

"we do?"

"yeah! i think you'd make a great couple!"

"i agree with sasha!"

"maybe this time, who knows? something can happen" the brunette said, looking sideways at historia.

"ha! in my dreams! ain't no way he likes me"

"are you sure? because i remember on your birthday we had a talk and i said there's a high possibility that jean likes you. and you said you would reject him, cause you didn't like him" sasha said.

"i'm sure everything he did and does mean nothing. he's just a nice person!" y/n replied, making the girls sigh.

'jean can't possibly like me. everything is just in my head...'
