y/n's summer was filled with laughter and happiness. of course, there were some other stuff, too, but they had nothing to do with her friends.

when august ended, she couldn't help but feel sad. she knew she had only a month before colleges and universities started.

she had applied for the college she wanted and she was waiting patiently for the results.

it was probably her anxiety for this that had her waking up in the middle of the night.

she always had that weird dream on repeat.

and she was always waking up when she was hearing her sobs.

she was waking up with tears in her eyes and a pain in her heart.

it was too much it was taking her breath away.

she still couldn't understand it, though.

she couldn't understand why all her new memories were turning into black and white in her dream.

she couldn't understand why the frozen colorful photos were cut in pieces.

she couldn't understand anything of that.

after several nights of waking up at that specific scene of herself sobbing, she reached the end of the dream;

it was just... her.

she was walking around her room, touching random objects and furniture, before disappearing. along with everything else.

y/n spent days trying to understand what all this meant. and she couldn't get why she looked so different by the end of the dream. that definitely wasn't the girl she was seeing everyday in the mirror.

yet again, she pushed it all away in the back of her mind. she didn't want to deal with this dream. it was only making her feel sad.

she knew her life was just fine, now. she was surrounded by everyone she loved and she was happy.

'stupid dream! trying to ruin my amazing life'
