moving on was way harder than she thought it'd be.

she spent days going through depressive episodes, where she wanted nothing more but to stay in her bed.

yet, she had to get up and go to college.

one good thing about it was that it was helping her keep jean out of her mind.

studying for her first ever college midterms didn't sound too bad.

she was trying to do anything in order to distract herself. she knew that this wasn't the best option, but, she preferred putting everything on hold just for her studies.

she was trying too hard to forget him, but sasha and historia weren't really helping.

they were always talking about him, since they were still friends, and y/n was tired of hearing his name.

she wanted to tell them to stop because it hurt her to know that he was just fine without her.

but at the same time, she didn't want them to, because she wanted to know if everything in his life was looking good.

she still cared about him so deeply, and she hated that.

she wanted to feel nothing, but she refused to let herself turn like him; someone so heartless who could break one's heart in the blink of an eye.

she didn't want to be anything like that.

she didn't want to be heartless or hold any grudge.

she wanted to make peace with the whole situation, accept it, move on and mind her own business.

because she knew that turning bad wouldn't heal her.

and y/n was willing to do anything just to find that peace she needed.

even if it meant walking away from people she once loved.
