"please remind jean to not mention anything about us drinking, when he's gonna meet my mom" y/n said, as she talked with historia on the phone.
"i will! once he remembers we had to meet up, of course"
"he's not with you, yet?"
"no" sasha said, from the other line.
"you have me on speaker this whole time?"
"yep!" historia said, laughing.
"you should've told me that!" y/n laughed.
"it's fine! there are zero people around us"
"oh, i see jean coming!" sasha said.
"i'm gonna act like he's not fifteen minutes late" y/n commented.
"anyways! i'm hanging up! see you in five!" she added.
when she hung up the phone, she spent some seconds to calm herself down, before bringing some snacks in her room.
she opened the door when her friends arrived, hugging each one of them. her mom was in the bathroom, so, they all made their way to y/n's room.
"where's your cat?"
"you came for my cat?"
"well obviously! what? you think i came for you?" jean said, acting disgusted.
"ouch... this hurt my feelings, my love" y/n answered, acting hurt, as she placed a hand over her heart.
"i'm so sorry, n/n! you know i love you" he said, wrapping his arms around her.
"everyone does. you're not special" she said, playfully rolling her eyes.
"my cat is sleeping, by the way!"
she watched as jean sat down on her desk chair and she went to pour juice on their cups before a knock came on her door.
"come in!"
"how are you, ms. m/n?" mikasa said, getting up from the bed.
"i'm fine! how are you doing, my pretty girl? i haven't seen you in a while!" her mother said, accepting the girl's hug.
"i'm doing good!"
y/n smiled softly as she watched her mother's interaction with mikasa. the woman always had a soft spot for the girl and she never really tried to hide it.
once mikasa let go of her mother, y/n saw jean getting up from his seat.
"i'm the jean your daughter always talks about" he said, extending his hand out to her.
y/n nearly dropped the cup she was holding when he said that. she was thankful she had her back turned on them, so her mom wouldn't be suspicious of the blush on her cheeks.
"it's nice to finally meet you, jean!"
well, y/n couldn't call their meeting a failure. she knew from her mother's expressions and body language, she approved of him.
"sasha, don't be on your phone, it's rude" the girl said, as she sat on the bed.
y/n sighed and nearly rolled her eyes.
'there she goes again'
every time sasha was at a house, she always had a problem.
one time she was at y/n's, she had an upset stomach and she had to play doctor for her.
some other time, she had sleeping problems.
another time she was upset and "depressed" because her boyfriend didn't text her back for four hours.
and that was totally pissing her off. because she knew that most times it was just a lie. after all, sasha always wanted attention.
yet, y/n didn't let sasha's mood ruin her evening.
she still had her fun with everyone else.
her room was filled with nothing but laughter· especially when jean picked her up bridal style and walked to her balcony, saying he was gonna throw her.
"try it, pussy"
"nah~ i'm not gonna actually do it"
"knew it" she said, folding her arms on her chest.
"using this tone on me? yeah, goodbye"
"no, no, no! i'm sorry!" she said, wrapping her arms around his neck.
he held her closer to him as he laughed. she could feel the vibrations of it against her body, which only made her heart beat louder.
he let her feet touch the ground, watching her lean against the railings.
"come closer. it's dangerous there"
"don't worry! those are strong!"
"didn't your neighbor fall off the balcony some years back?" mikasa asked, looking at her from inside the room.
"it wasn't because of the railings. it was suicide" y/n said.
"yeah... one more reason for you to not be close" jean commented.
"why? you think i want to jump?"
"i don't know. do you?"
"i don't want to die" she laughed softly.
"that's amazing, you know!"
"but, still! i think it's better if you're not that close" he added.
"don't you trust me?" she asked, acting hurt.
"of course! i trust you! not those, though" he said, bringing her closer to his body by her waist.
their faces were so close, she felt like she was gonna pass out. his arm stayed wrapped around her waist for a few more seconds, before he pulled away and got inside the room.
and, yet again, he had that small smile on his face. and y/n knew she'd never be able to get it off her mind.
'ugh! what are you doing to me, jean?'
