Liliana's P.O.V:
When we arrived at the hotel, Kaiden had opened my door for me. The moment I stood on my own two feet out of the car, he scooped me up to lug me over his shoulder like a big bag of ice or potatoes from the grocery store. I yelled that he put me down, feeling him trying to keep his emotions in check in the bond. Kaiden ignored me, walking into the building as I lifted my head up to see both Nathan and Jason talking softly to each other. They both were exchanging looks with each other then throwing apologetic looks at me.
Kaiden carried me over his shoulder into the hotel, ignoring all the confusing and judging glances from every single person in the lobby. He didn't even set me down when he got in the elevator, closing the elevator doors. Kaiden only stood motionless unless it was to breathe. I didn't fight against his grip anymore, figuring that he was going to put me down eventually, but that was wishful thinking. I just wanted to be put down, but then again, I knew in some sense on where he was coming from. He didn't want me to run off...or maybe he was still pissed with everyone and everything.
He kept me on his shoulder, carrying me out of the elevator once it stopped on his floor, and I tried to wiggle out his grip. It was useless, but I didn't want to know what he planned to do to me once he got back to his hotel room. I knew he wasn't ever going to force himself on me, but there was that small part of me which believed in the worst of worst-case scenarios. I heard him kicking a door open, making me attempt to look behind me, but soon I saw the door frame. Kaiden legitimately just kicked in the door to a five-star hotel room.
I fell onto a bed, bouncing a little, and Kaiden only looked at someone. I followed his eyes to see that he was staring at Gia, who was holding a makeshift icepack to the right side of her head, then at Aimee who was mixing some...cooking herbs together?
"Where's Nate and Jason?" Gia asked, only looking at me with concern before looking back at Kaiden.
"On their way," Kaiden grunted.
Aimee asked Gia, "Do you want to—"
"No." Gia shook her head, then looked at me. She looked back at Kaiden, and negotiated with him, "Can you let us talk to her for a few minutes? Alone?"
"No." Kaiden folded his arms over his chest, standing still as I slowly sat up on the bed.
I noticed the two had the sheets changed, getting rid of any evidence of what I had spat up before the hallucination. I looked at Gia, only getting a slight nod from her, then I mouthed a quick thank you before Kaiden looked at me. He forcefully but, somehow, gently laid me back down under the blanket with both pillows propping me up. Aimee was now sitting on the empty side, her hands busy with making that paste again in a bowl, and she only winked at me.
Gia walked to sit near my knees, rolling her eyes at my new bodyguard, then said to Kaiden, "You can wait outside the room. We'll scream for you if we need you."
"Because seperatin' us did so well the first time, Gia." Kaiden reminded everyone in the room.
Aimee let out an annoyed huff, "We have to ask her questions that would probably not get answered if you're still in the room."
"I need answers myself from Liliana. It seems like we're all in the same boat." Kaiden called me by my full name. He never called me by my full name and just called me Lily.
Oh joy, he was pissed off!
"Ignore the big bad grim reaper, Lil. We all do," Aimee said softly to me, and I looked at her. She had a faint bruise on her throat, then reassured me as she noticed I was staring at her throat, "It'll fade by the morning. You weren't yourself and I won't hold you against it. Next time, me and you are chick-fighting."
