As Cameron impatiently waited for her sister outside the school, frustration simmered within her. She glanced out into the cold, noticing her sister's absence. Despite the chilly weather, her sister had opted for a stylish but impractical outfit—a black cropped shirt paired with jean shorts—leaving Cameron to shiver in discomfort. With her headphones draped around her neck, she rubbed her arms in a futile attempt to ward off the cold.
Ten minutes passed, and Cameron's annoyance grew. "Bitch, left me," she grumbled under her breath, turning on her heels to head towards the bus station. However, before she could make her way down the path, a familiar voice called out her name. "Cameron!"
Cameron whipped around at the sound of her name and saw Eli jogging over to her. A grin spread across her lips at the sight of him. "Puppy dog!" she exclaimed as he approached, his own smile matching hers.
"Did your sister ditch you again?" he asked with a chuckle, and Cameron nodded in confirmation. He gestured towards a car in the parking lot. "I can drive you? You can come over and hang out... my mom's out of town..." he offered, trailing off slightly.
Cameron's grin widened even further at the invitation. "Yes!" she replied eagerly, excitement bubbling within her at the prospect of spending time with Eli.
As Cameron stepped inside Eli's home, she couldn't help but feel a sense of awe wash over her. Eli's wealth was evident in the luxurious surroundings, and she found herself speechless as she took in the opulent decor. Despite their friendship, Eli had never mentioned his family's affluence, leaving Cameron pleasantly surprised by the revelation.
Her eyes widened in amazement as she wandered through the house, admiring the grandeur of it all. Eventually, she found herself standing in front of a fireplace adorned with framed photographs. Among them was a baby picture of Eli, and Cameron couldn't contain her delight.
"Awww! You still have your baby face," she exclaimed with a wide grin, her eyes sparkling with amusement as she looked over at Eli. His cheeks flushed with embarrassment, and he glanced down at the ground bashfully in response to her playful compliment.
Cameron's eyes widened in disbelief as she spotted the Lazy-Boy in the room. "Oh my god! You have a Lazy-Boy?!" she exclaimed excitedly, her disbelief evident in her tone as she sprinted over to it and leaped onto the chair. She immediately activated the massaging feature and felt the soothing vibrations coursing through her body.
"And it's one of those massaging ones? I never wanna leave here!" Cameron exclaimed with pure bliss, closing her eyes and allowing herself to relax into the comfortable chair.
