Cameron stood in the dojo, stretching her muscles as she tried to prepare for whatever Kreese had planned for today. Robby and Tory were nearby, both also stretching, though they didn't speak much. The air between Cameron and Robby was thick, but not because of anything overtly romantic. They were simply two people trying to navigate the weird space between them. They had shared moments, teased each other, but never crossed any lines. It was like they were on the verge of something, but neither of them quite knew where to go with it.

The silence was broken by Kyler, who swaggered in with his usual brash confidence. "Yo, guys," he called out, his voice echoing through the dojo. "My boy Rory, he got some free tickets to the drive-in tonight. They're showing some old-school flick-Bloodsport. You guys in?"

Cameron raised an eyebrow and exchanged a glance with Robby. It was clear she didn't know the movie, but Robby's reaction was telling. He looked momentarily nostalgic, like the mention of Bloodsport had unlocked a memory from his past.

"I know that movie," Robby said, his voice softer, almost reminiscent. "My dad left an old VHS at our place. It's one of those old-school action flicks."

Cameron couldn't resist a small laugh. "Oh, I remember," she said, looking at Robby. "Me and you watched it, but we got distracted halfway through." The teasing note in her voice was light, playful. They both knew what she was talking about-their unspoken connection that had always been there, lingering just below the surface.

Tory scrunched her nose, a look of mock disgust crossing her face. "Oh, gross," she said, rolling her eyes.

Cameron shot her a half-smile. "Hey, it happens," she shrugged. "The movie wasn't that great anyway."

Kyler, completely unbothered by their banter, leaned in. "I heard it's dope. If you guys are in, let's go. It'll be a good time." His tone was casual, like this was just another one of his impulsive ideas.

"Depends on how late I have to work tonight," Tory replied, glancing over at Cameron, her expression saying she wasn't entirely sure she was up for it.

"Same," Cameron added, her voice a little more resigned. She and Tory had both started working at a party princess place, a job they both agreed wasn't great but was necessary. They both needed the money, and this was the only thing they had.

"Yeah, my new boss put me and Tory on the schedule for today. Guy's a total creep," Cameron said, her voice laced with irritation. "I think I saw him perving on me when I was walking through the back," she added, her disgust palpable. The thought of her boss leering at her made her skin crawl, and she was just waiting for the day she could quit.
