us writers work hard on these chapters. i know i ask this a lot, but i really don't like ghost readers because i work super hard on these chapters so when i see views going up but votes are not... its hard for my motivation!

if you see this chapter, since wattpad is glitching, just do me a favor and actually vote. the views aren't gonna be high because not many people are gonna get this, so please just vote. please!!

Cameron jolted awake as the sound of her phone vibrating against the dashboard filled the silent car. She groaned, shifting uncomfortably as she sat up, her body aching from another night spent curled up in the cramped backseat. Her blanket slipped off her shoulders as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes, the early morning sunlight seeping through the windshield, making her squint.

Her phone was still buzzing, the screen lighting up with one notification after another. She reached for it, her fingers cold against the glass.

37 New Messages

Her heart pounded a little harder. For a second, she thought maybe it was someone from Cobra Kai, maybe even Sensei Kreese checking in, but when she unlocked her phone, her stomach twisted.

"✨Triad✨"

She hadn't seen that name pop up in months. Not since she had walked away from them-walked away from Arabella and Luna, from everything they once had.

She hesitated, staring at the chat.

Then she tapped in.

Arabella: Cameron, did you know?

Luna: Girl, where are you?

Arabella: Are you seriously ignoring us?

Luna: You seriously had no idea? You're still wrapped up in all that Cobra Kai bullshit, aren't you?

Cameron frowned, quickly typing back.

Cameron: Wtf are you talking about?

Luna: Miguel. He's gone.

Cameron's fingers stilled over the keyboard.

Cameron: Gone? What do you mean gone?

Her pulse quickened as three dots appeared, then disappeared.

Then-

Arabella: He left. Took off to Mexico.

Luna: Apparently, he's looking for his dad.

The words hit her like a punch to the gut.

Miguel left? He just left without telling anyone? That didn't make any sense. Cameron sat there, staring at the screen, feeling the weight of the news settle in her chest. Miguel wasn't reckless-he wouldn't just leave unless he really thought he had to.
