Demetri stood off to the side, clutching the strap of his bag with both hands, his fingers twitching anxiously. His eyes darted around the room, trying to make sense of the situation. A knot of confusion twisted in his stomach-Sam had summoned him here out of nowhere, demanding he bring all his tech gear. His bag, weighed down with wires, gadgets, and laptops, suddenly felt heavier with the uncertainty of what exactly she needed.
"So, uh, what's the emergency?" Demetri asked, adjusting his glasses as he shot Sam a wary look. "And why'd I have to bring, like, my entire inventory from TechTown?"
His voice carried a layer of skepticism, his mind racing through worst-case scenarios. He glanced at Miguel, silently hoping for some clarification, but Miguel only let out a quiet sigh, dragging a hand through his already-messy hair.
"You guys know as much as we do," Miguel admitted, his voice laced with frustration. "Sam just told us to meet here and didn't say much else." His expression, though calm, betrayed his own impatience.
Robby stood beside Arabella, arms crossed tightly over his chest. His jaw clenched as he exhaled sharply, eyes flickering toward his phone for what felt like the hundredth time that night. Finally, he broke the silence, voice tight with frustration.
"At least she's talking to you," he muttered. "I can't get a response from-" Robby caught himself before saying Cameron's name, swallowing his words before they could spill out. His expression hardened as he looked away, his frustration clear.
