Phoebe didn't know what to say to her parents. If she should even tell them at all, though they would instantly find out anyway. It wasn't like she was Eli and could wear T-shirts to avoid it. Her mum would get suspicious of her daughter constantly wearing a wrist support glove and would personally take it upon herself to check if she actually sprained her wrist. She felt so conflicted. She didn't want to lie to them, but if she didn't, she would also have to tell them about the text messages. Her mum and dad knew that her relationship with Eli was in a rough patch, though they didn't know specifically why. The teen came to a decision. They would get over it. Once it was done, she couldn't change her mind and it wouldn't ever come off. But if Kayla truly meant what she said, then it was better for her body and for her family.
"I'm going to the dojo. Extra practice before class." She said shooting up from the table. Phoebe grabbed her bike keys and helmet and a jacket, not the red leather one, but a blue denim one and went out the door.
Focused only on one particular vehicle, she hopped on her bike and put the keys in the ignition. Phoebe was about to turn the keys to ignite the engine when she heard a car horn loudly beep. Turning her head, she saw Hawk's Sentra. She sighed. Her and Hawk hadn't called, spoke, or seen each other properly lately and now he was here. She watched his window go down and he stuck his head out of it.
"Are you coming?" He asked.
Phoebe turned the engine off and just stared at him blankly. He hadn't changed his hair over the course of their time apart, as it was still like a deep blue brush head yesterday. Now, it was dyed bright inferno red and the brush effect had gave way to liberty like spikes all the way from the top to the base of his skull. She felt mad at him still over his treatment of Demetri and what he said to her. "What are you doing here?"
"Taking you to our appointment."
"Why? I can drive myself."
"I'm the one who made it myself remember? Besides, without me, you're not getting what you went without consent or ID...and it will give us a chance to talk about things."
"You said quite enough at the pool."
"That was two weeks ago. You know I didn't mean that."
After some thought, Phoebe exhaled and swung a leg off the side of her bike and took the keys out. "Fine." She walked over to his car and got into the passenger seat. "Nice hair. Very red."
"Thanks."
The girl glanced to the back seats of the car and found two other Cobras sitting in them. Chris and Mitch, better known as, Douchebag and Assface. "Hi, guys."
"Hey, Phoebe." They said. "How are you?"
Hawk drove the car out of the apartment complex, "Ignore them. We have to talk about us."
"We don't have anything to talk about unless the next words that come out of your mouth are; 'I will do whatever it takes to prove how sorry I am for bullying your cousin and wishing you dead'. If they're not, I'd rather sit in silence and look out the window, thinking that the car is driving itself."
"Unfortunately, they're not. Though I am sorry for what I said."
Phoebe said nothing and proceeded to angle herself in the seat in the direction of the window and she stared out of it.
He sighed. Hawk hoped that he wouldn't have to do or say anything that would affect his image in front of Tweedledee and Tweedledum, "What would I have to do to earn your forgiveness?"
"Actions speak louder than words. Get on your knees and beg for it. Then go ask Demetri for his forgiveness."
That would affect his image greatly. It would be a lot different if they were alone, he would do exactly what she wanted and maybe give her a little pleasure while doing it. He cursed himself for bringing the newbie Cobras with them. "No, I'm not doing that."
