Samantha and Robby stood on the beach side by side with their toes in the sand, doing their breathing routines and kata, taught by Daniel, with the morning sun shining over her and seagulls squawking above their heads.

It was the beginning of autumn time in the Valley. Summer had past to make way for September 1st. School was starting on Monday morning and Sam wanted to get as much training in as she could before the new school year started. This was the last weekend of freedom before she was swamped with textbooks, assignments, and homework. She wanted to make the best of it with Robby.

And she did, as she pulled Robby in for long, romantic kiss in the middle of the sunrise.

When they came back from the beach, Sam went to the Miyagi-Do dojo for a lesson with her dad and all the other students, including Robby. She practiced her high kicks and punches as if she was gearing up to be in a fight. While she did this, she thought of her rival; Tory. How the Cobra had pushed her over at the country club and at the roller rink, how she had taunted her with dating Miguel.

The kicker was that when she was in front of the white punching bag about to start training with it, she saw a video of Tory that she posted to her Instagram. It had 37 comments, quite the number of views and likes. The video was of the Cobra kicking a punching bag. Negative emotions flooded through her body. Putting her phone away, Sam continued to punch the bag ferociously.

At the same time that Sam was at Miyagi-Do, Tory was in the Cobra Kai dojo. She held a heavy weighted ball and began doing low squats in the main room while everyone else was behind her sparring with training pads and also practicing and perfecting their punches and kicks.

After class had ended, she went to the backroom and punched, kneed, and kicked at the black punching bag. She even rivalled Hawk in anger while punching it, thinking of Sam the entire time and how she accused her of stealing from Phoebe's grandfather and his club, and just for being an annoying, whiny, rich, little bitch that got everything handed to her. Tory was preparing for battle, just like her rival.

Miguel even came in and strapped soft training pads to his hand to help his girlfriend practice.

Tory and Miguel continued to train after they left the dojo. They both sparred with each other in the other Cobra base; the Reseda apartment complex where he, Phoebe, Johnny, and George lived.

Miguel had his back to a skinny support pole near his Sensei's parked car. Tory aimed a punch with each fist at him, which he ducked under. He aimed his own punches at her, which she blocked with her forearms. She attacked back with a kick that Miguel managed to block with his hand.

Both teens began to use the support pole for defence and offense. Miguel grabbed it and aimed a kick at her. While Tory did a spin kick that connected to his gut. The Hispanic boy stumbled back a little. Tory then grasped the cold metal in both hands and used it to leap in the air and give more power to the kick that made Miguel slam back into the wall behind him.

The girl charged over to him and aimed a front kick at him, but Miguel quickly moved to the side. Annoyed by it, she delivered another front kick at him. Miguel caught her leg, which in turn made Tory grab the back of his next quickly to stop herself from losing balance and falling over. She shuffled both of them closer to the wall, so Miguel's back was once again pressed against it.

The two teenagers leaned their heads closer to each other so much so that their lips touched and then crashed together. Miguel's hand snaked down and rested on her hips as they continued to kiss passionately.
