Dylan's POV

"And I need to go home..." I sob into Thomas' shirt, which is wet from my tears. I feel slightly embarassed about crying, but to be honest it's been a long time coming. Besides, it feels better to have someone comforting me now than suffering alone in my hotel room later. I've done that way too many times and I'm certainly not up for doing it again.

Thomas hugs me tight with his left arm and strokes my hair with his right hand. The position is not awkward, but rather cozy. We stay quiet since I don't think either of us knows what to say. I don't mind the silence, though. It's a comfortable one. I can now distinguish the background noise coming from below us; the roaming of car engines and the people chatting.

My head is resting on his chest and I can hear his heartbeats. They're steady and calms me down. My breathing slows and my eyes flutter shut. I feel so safe. I let my brain shut down and relax, all until I hiccup. Thomas giggles slightly at the sound of my hiccup.

"Hey," he says and I feel the vibrations of his chest as he speaks. "Hold your breath. It'll work."

I hold my breath, but it still results in a hiccup.

"It's not working." I complain and my voice breaks and sounds raspy after crying so much. I bury my face further in his shirt and breathe in his smell. Can we stay like this forever?

"Let me help you..." Thomas pulls away and puts his fingers under my chin. His twinkling, chocolate eyes meet my questioning one's. He leans in...

Let's just say I don't have hiccups anymore.
