My Sweet Mermaid

~ Chapter 14 ~

I looked up to see Justin holding Lili's collar of her shirt. 

"What the hell did you do to her?!" Justin was fuming of anger. I grabbed Justin's arm.

"Justin, stop. She didn't do anything wrong." I pulled at his arm but he lightly pushed me and I stumbled back. I seen Lili's eyes darken.

"Why were you crying then?" Their eyes were locked on each other like lions ready to fight over a deer. 

"Because she was comforting me. Now let her go!" I pulled him hard while growling because now I was angry. They both looked at me shocked. He pulled me to the side away from everyone.

"I was worried about the vampire attack and when you didn't wake up for awhile so Lili comforted me." I told him and he nodded. We left back to them and Lili looked nervous.

"I apologize for my behavior, Lili. I thought you were harming my sister so I got protective. Truce?" He held out his hand. I looked between them and Destiny.

"It's okay. I get it. I'm protective over my family too." She shook his hand.

"Why don't you join us for dinner?" My eyes widened. 

"That sounds nice. I can get your address from Mel and meet you later tonight."

"Sounds like a plan. Be over by 7pm." Justin said. 

"Okay. Bye Destiny and Mel. I'll see you later." She waved bye before leaving to her car. We left back home and I became nervous for tonight. I shot Lili a text.

Me: He can't find out you're a v.

Bub <3 : He won't Babygirl. I'll eat before I go over. ;)

I rolled my eyes at the winky face she sent me but smiled. When we arrived home, we took showers. I put on a shirt and comfy shorts. I went downstairs and chilled in the living room when Destiny and Justin came down. Justin was in a muscle tee and gym shorts. Destiny was wearing joggers and a crop top. 

"Mel, text Lili if she wants ribs and potatoes or chicken and veggies." I stopped my video game to text Lili.

Me: Do you want ribs and potatoes or chicken and veggies?

Bub <3: Ribs and Potatoes sound really good.

Me: Okay :)

"Ribs and potatoes!" I yelled. 

"Okay I'll start it up so by the time she gets here, food will be ready!"

"Okay!"

+Lili's POV+ 

Around 530pm, I started to shower and get ready. I threw on black joggers and a plain red T-shirt. I put my chain on and looked at the ring Mel gave me.

"I don't think wearing their family ring would be smart especially how Justin is." I closed the box and put it in a hidden spot. I put on my black Nike Forces and got up. I sensed Slias and rolled my eyes as I opened my door and he was standing right there.

"Yes, Silas." I said, irritated.

"Where you going again?"

"My friends house." I said monotoned.

"Who's this friend?" I ignored him and started putting my hair in a half down with and small bun. He grabbed my arm.

"Is it your blood bag you brought over the other night?" I pushed him.

"She's not a fucking blood bag and no it's not that friend." I bumped his shoulder before leaving. I left the house, pissed off and drove to Mel's.

+Mel's POV+

I felt my phone vibrate and I knew Lili was here. I got up and ran outside before Justin could notice she pulled up. She closed her door and I hugged her. She laughed lightly and hugged me back. I broke the hug and kissed her while smiling. She kissed back and broke it after a few seconds. 

"Someone is impatient." She smirked.

"Shush. I am very nervous for tonight but seeing you makes me very happy." She smiled and pecked my lips before holding my hand til we got to the door and she let go. I pouted at how empty my hand felt.

I wish we didn't have to be a secret. I just want to tell everyone we are together and I'm taken.

"I agree, darling." Lili whispered in a low tone in my ear, sending a shiver down my spine. I gulped.

"I can hear your desires and thoughts. I mean, you are my mate after all."
