My Sweet Mermaid

~ Chapter 15 ~

I blushed and got fluster because of the effect Lili has on me.

"Justin, Lili is here!" I yelled as we walked in.

"Okay! Dinner will be ready in 45 minutes." 

"Make yourself comfortable." We walking in the living room. We sat down and Destiny gave Lili a controller. As we were playing, Lili was losing bad. After a bit, I decided to go check on Justin.

+Lili's POV+ 

While we were playing video games, I sat back, manspreading. I kept glancing at Mel's back and noticed no outline of a bra. I poke the inside of my cheek.

No bra, huh.

I licked my lips and tried to focus on the game. She eventually got up and was wearing spandex shorts.

Fuck, what is she doing? How can I not stare? It's going to be a difficult dinner. 

I stared as she walked away until I got elbowed. I whipped my head to Destiny.

"Ow Destiny." I said.

"Caught you staring and drooling over Mel." She put her finger to the corner of her lips and I rolled my eyes.

"What the fuck ever. She's my mate so I can stare all I want." Destiny laughed and I laughed with her.

+Mel's POV+

I heard laughing and got jealous.

I don't know why I am getting jealous when Lili is my mate. She's mine and I'm hers.

My eyes widened at my thoughts.

Did I just admit that Lili is my mate?

I heard Justin yell for the girls and I sat down. I seen Lili smirk while looking at me. I gulped as she sat next to me.

"Sweet tea or Dr. Pepper?" Justin asked Lili.

"Sweet tea, please and thank you." Lili said politely. Justin and Destiny were across from us and we started eating our food. 

"This meal is delicious, Justin." Lili complimented Justin's cooking.

"Thank you, Lili. I'm sorry again for being a bit aggressive."

"It's no problem. I understand completely. I don't like seeing people cry. It's heartbreaking to see. That's one reason why I comforted Mel. She's a good person and sees good in everyone."

"That is my sister for you. She is amazing and caring." I smiled.

"She's definitely worth protecting." Lili said. We soon finished dinner and helped Justin bring plates to the dishwasher. We left to our room and I closed my door. 

"Lili, you're in my spot." I stared at Lili while crossing my arms.

"Oh, is it now?" 

"Yes it is and no one is allowed to be in that spot but me so can you please move?" Her and Destiny looked at each other then Lili grabbed me making me land in her lap, yelping. They laughed and I pouted. I felt Lili put her hand on my thigh, giving me butterflies.

"Oh come on. You love my teasing."

"Whatever." I leaned my back on Lili and she wrapped her arms around me while having her head on my shoulder. I gulped.

"So what do we want to talk about?" 

"We can look at your old baby pictures." Destiny said.

"Oh god, those photos are so bad."

"I doubt that." Lili said.

"Yes they are because I was an ugly child."

"Don't call yourself ugly." Lili gripped me and growled in my ear.

"But I-" She turned my body a little and gripped my chin.

"You're not ugly. Don't ever say that again. Understand?" I nodded lightly and she kissed me. We were about to break the kiss when a pillow got thrown at us.

"I'm in the room, you nasty ass people." 

"You're just jealous." I said while getting comfortable. She threw another pillow but Lili caught it. I stuck out my tongue while Destiny sat down, rolling her eyes. We started looking at the family book. After a bit, I felt Lili grip me and her heavy breathing. 

"Wait. Who is that?" She pointed to a person.

"Oh my adoptive sister I think. I don't really know much about her because my parents never talk about her. All I know is that she is older than me and she got banned from home. Why?" I asked.

"Um she looks familiar." Lili breathing became different and I got worried.

"Shit." I turned to Lili and she looked pale all of sudden.

"Are you okay?" I moved because I was worried. She moved off the bed but stumbled. I held her up.

"Why are you pale?" 

"I forgot to feed. Silas kind of pissed me off and I drove here mad." Lili said. I looked at Destiny.

"What do we do?" 

"Open the window. I'll leave and come back. If Justin asks, I'm in your bathroom." Lili said. I helped her to the window and opened it. She jumped and left. I turned on the bathroom light and closed the door. As soon as I did that, Justin opened the door. 

"Where's Lili?" 

"She's in the bathroom. What's up?" I walked towards him.

"It's late and I don't want her going home with all the vampire attacks going on so tell her she can stay the night." 

"Okay. I will tell her." I smiled.

"Goodnight." Justin closed the door and I locked it after a few seconds. After a few minutes, I shut the bathroom light off and Lili came through the window. 

"Justin said you're staying the night." I said. She nodded. We laid on the bed. I was in the middle since My bed is big enough to fit the 3 of us. I laid on my side and Lili laid on her back. Her usual position.

"What year was that family photo taken?" She asked.

"Um 1678."

"She's a mermaid?" She asked.

"Yeah."

+Lili's POV+

What?! There's no way. She never turned into a mermaid when we went on beach dates. I thought she was 2 years older than me but that was a lie. Was our whole relationship a lie? She is the reason I stopped wanting to be in a relationship. I thought she was my mate but I knew she wasn't. I just didn't want to believe it. Where have you gone, Athena?
