My Sweet Mermaid

~ Chapter 29 ~

+Lili's POV- A week later+

I got woken up and groaned.

"Sissy, you have to wake up. You have to be at the meeting." I looked over to Alec.

"Okay, bud. Thank you for waking me up." I got up and he hugged me. I hugged back before he left. I went to my closet searching for an business attire outfit. I took out the outfit and placed it on my bathroom counter. I took a quick shower before getting ready. 

A white button up with black vest and dress pants. I had a black tie on with my jacket blazer. I had black combat boots on. I straightened my hair and left through the halls to the meeting room, on the other side of our palace. I knocked on the door.

"Come in." I opened the door to see my parents, Silas, and other royal families. I lightly bowed my head before sitting next to my mother. I took a deep breath. 

"Now that everyone is here. We need to talk about how bad the vampire attacks are getting. The recent attack was the Hart family's' sons, Adam and Dennis. Police have investigated and it wasn't a Zagan who killed them. The vampire didn't even drink their blood. They just killed them and left for them to bleed out. They are writing it as a murder. So, we have to get all our people to find this said vampire to imprison them." Father said. I had my head down.

+Mel's POV+

I was laying in bed, too busy in my thoughts about the funeral. That was the last time I saw Lili. She looked so heartbroken. I've never seen her cry and that broke me to pieces. I just wanted to cuddle her and comfort her.

"Hey, do you want to go for a small swim to get your mind off of everything?"

"I don't know."

"That's a shocker. You saying no to swimming. You love swimming. It always calms you." Destiny nudged me. I smiled lightly.

"Yeah but I'll only go for a little bit then I'm leaving you."

"That is okay with me." We left to the back and dove into the water. We started swimming and I didn't even realize that it's been so long since I last gone swimming. I swam around doing spins and circles. Twists and everything you can think of because I was enjoying the water. 

"Oh this is so relaxing." I sounded at ease and joyful.

"It has been a while since you've been in the water." 

"Yeah because I've always been with Lili."

"It sucks with this law that you guys can't be really public." 

"Yeah, it's horrible but I don't want a war to break out. I don't want any blood shed." 

"That's what makes you a good person. You're very selfless. You care for everyone around you." I swam for about 15 more minutes before I said bye to Destiny.

"I'm going to go back to the house. I'll see what Justin is doing. Maybe me and him can have sister brother bonding time." 

"Okay, be safe." I swam off back to the house using my speed. I got on the beach and changed. I left inside.

"Justin! Are you home?!" I yelled. I didn't here anything. I went to my room to text him but I saw a message from Jaiden.

Jai: Hey um I was wondering if you were busy. I just want to get my mind off of everything and could use a friend.

I pouted. 

Poor Jaiden.

Me: No I'm free. Everyone else is busy so I'm at the house by myself. Where did you want to meet up?

Jai: I can come pick you up. I was going to stop somewhere to get food so we can go somewhere to get a breather.

Me: That sounds like a great idea. I'll get ready and just text me when you are here. :)

Jai: Okay I will.

I went to my room to take a quick shower and get ready. I wrapped the towel around me and dried my hair. It had light curls and I put mascara on with a lip tint that was a red color. I got dressed in a dark pink dress that was slightly scrunched up on the sides. It was long sleeved and was a v-line dress. I put on white sandals. I smiled, feeling cute. My phone went off and I got my small bag. It had my phone, wallet, and essentials. It was a mini bag so it was perfect for me. I went outside to see Jaiden. He smiled and I hopped in the passenger seat.

"You look cute in the dress." 

"Thank you." I smiled.

"I got your favorite drink." He handed it to me. I gasped.

"A frozen caramel coffee with whipped cream. Oh my god, you are the best." I said, drinking it. He was playing music.

"Where is everyone?" Jaiden asked.

"Lili is with her family. Justin is I don't even know where and Destiny went to go for a swim." I was already half way with my drink. After a bit, I was feeling weird. I held my head as I was feeling drowsy.

"Brain freeze? You always do that." Jaiden said.

"No, it's not a brain freeze." I looked at Jaiden and my vision went black.

+Lili's POV+ 

This meeting was extremely long and tiring. My phone went off and everyone looked at me.

"I'm sorry." I looked at my phone to see Destiny. I was very confused.

She knows I'm very busy. Why would she call me?

I answered the phone.

"Destiny, I'm bus-" She cut me off.

"Mel has gone missing!"
