~ Chapter 23 ~

+Mel's POV+

It's been about 3 weeks since our first official moment, meaning it's been a month and a half since we came for my birthday, and it been difficult without a single update from dad and mom about the attack. 

I woke up from my nightmare to a knock on my door. I groaned loud and the door opened. 

"Hey baby sis, it's around 11 am." Hearing that from Justin made me jump out of bed and check my phone to see texts and calls from Lili.

"Damn it!" I was frustrated.

"What's wrong?" 

"I slept in. I was supposed to meet Lili at the mall."

"What time are you supposed to meet her?"

"10:30." I said.

"Text her that you slept through your alarms and that you will get ready and head her way." Justin calmed me down before leaving. 

Me: I am so sorry baby. I just woke up and slept through my alarms. I'm going to get ready and I'll be there soon.

Bub <3: I kinda figured that's what happened after a few texts and calls. Text me when you get here and drive safe.

Me: Okay <3

I went into my closet and started to find an outfit. I heard a voice.

"You going to the mall today?" I turned to see Destiny.

"Yes, I was supposed to be there already so I'm rushing." I explained. 

"Can I tag along because I need to go to a few stores?" 

"Yeah. I don't see a problem with that." She left and I grabbed a white-grey joggers, a white T-shirt with a grey rose and the word vibes on it along with my Adidas. I went into the bathroom and took a quick shower before getting ready. Once I was fully ready, I yelled for Destiny.

"Destiny, are you ready?!" 

"Yes, I'm waiting on you."

I grabbed the keys and we walked to the car.

"You want to drive today?" Destiny asked. I whipped my head to her with a shocked expression.

"Really?" I asked. She laughed. We got in the car to head to the mall.

"I'm guessing Lili is waiting for you?" Destiny asked.

"Yes. I was supposed to be there at 10:30 and I must have been exhausted to sleep past all my alarms." 

"Yeah you rarely do that unless-" Destiny paused for a few seconds.

"Did you have a nightmare?" She asked.

"Yeah. It was pretty scary. You were in danger along with Lili and her family and my family. I couldn't wake up at all. I tried but nothing." 

"I'm sorry, Mel. " We soon arrived to the mall and I was currently trying to find a parking spot.

"Damn the mall is packed today." I commented.

"Oh there is a parking spot right there." Destiny pointed it out and I parked before we left inside. I texted Lili I was at the mall. We walked in the mall and tried to look for Lili. We eventually seen her leaning against the wall with her hand in her pocket and she was on her phone. I smiled because she looked good in the outfit she was in while I was in comfy mode. She had a light blue striped button up, black slightly baggy smooth pants, her white Nikes and a black-white letterman jacket. Her hair definitely got a bit longer but she had blonde under her hair. We walked over to her and Destiny spoke first because I was still staring at Lili.
