I strolled through the forest, smiling to myself as a cool breeze brushed back my long blonde hair.
"Princess Kaliska!" I heard someone calling behind me, and I turned around on my heels. My best friend, Lilac approached me, dressed in her typical maid attire.
Lilac was a pretty girl with shoulder length lavender hair that was held in two high ponytails. The girl's eyes were exactly the same colour as her hair, and she was quite a bit shorter in height than I was. Despite her living in the Catori country, Lilac was not the same species. She was a human, but born and raised into the Catori country.
"Hello!" I smiled at my friend, who rolled her eyes,
"Don't be so excited. It's just me." Lilac said, and I laughed,
"I know, I know. So what are you wanting to tell me?"
"The King sent me to tell you that there is a ball tonight at the human kingdom, and he wants us to go." She explained, and I rose to my feet,
"Perfect."
"He also said that the other Catori kingdom is there."
"You mean Queen Aiyana and King Lucas?" Lilac nodded,
"That sounds fun. I guess I should get ready then." I smiled, and started toward the castle. I arrived, and stared up at our beautiful castle, Lilac at my side. We entered through the draw bridge, and the two of us walked into the main room, and up two floors to my bedroom.
I went into my large room, with lots of furniture, and a large window that overlooked the huge forest. Lilac waved to me as I headed for my large closet, and I heard footsteps behind me.
"Hi Princess!" My other friend, Hazel, smiled at me. She always had a sweet expression on her face, and has curly mocha coloured hair and colbalt blue eyes.
"Are you here to help me with my dress?" I asked, smiling at my friend.
"Of course I am." She grinned, and I undressed out of my simple brown dress.
"I think this dress is perfect!" Hazel brought out a short bubblegum pink dress, that was a ballerina dress at the bottom.
"I'd defiantly look like a princess. But it's too innocent looking. I'd rather not look like a six year old." I shrugged, examining my nails.
"You are too picky sometimes." The brown haired girl sighed, and reached for another dress in the closet. Hazel revealed the next dress, which was a dark blue gown with long sleeves.
"Hmm. Nah." I shook my head, and the girl groaned and went through my closet.
"How many dresses do you have?" She squealed, as she searched through my gigantic closet.
"Too many." I giggled, and Hazel finally brought out another dress. This was was perfect. It was a romantic red, and flowed all the way to the ground, with a slit in the one side.
"That's the one!" I cheered, and Hazel ran to me and put a matching red corset around my waist. I sucked in my breath as she tightened it, and the girl smiled,"Great job." She said, and helped me into the red dress. I walked over to the large mirror in my room, and stared at myself in the mirror. The red dress was strapless, and clung perfectly to my body, showing off my every curve.
"How do I look." I flashed Hazel a smirk, and stuck one leg out of the slit in the dress.
"Gorgeous. I think men are going to be swooning over you." The girl giggled, and ran to me, grabbing my hand, "oh princess, won't you please dance with me!" She imitated a guy, and I burst out laughing.
