I couldn't remember much. What was I doing again?
I woke up in the middle of the forest, soaked to the bone. I got up and my teeh were chattering like mad! It looked like I just went for a swim in my clothes.
"Dang.. I liked this suit." I grumbled and made my way back to the kingdom.
Of course, my brother was leading a patrol around the territory. When he saw me, he jumped off his horse, and rushed over to me.
"Brother! Where were you today? And why are you like this? You knew it was raining, right?" He demanded as he rushed over, and put his coat over me. I curled my lip.
"No. So what?" I asked harshly, as my lip quivered from the cold. He shook his head, and we both got on his horse, and he led the patrol back to the castle.
When I got to my room, a couple of maids tried to help me clean up, but I shooed them out.
I was feeling frustrated. Why couldn't I remember what I did? I know it's important too...
"Colt?!" My father burst into the room. Luckily, I had a pair of boxers on.
He walked over and hugged me.
"Are you alright? Spruce just told me he found you in the forest alone, and shivering." He said, and then looked me over, but winced when he saw my neck. I looked at a mirror and saw a small nick on it.
"Well it's not deep, luckily. But Colt, what happened?" He asked as he stood beside me.
I looked up at him, and shrugged helplessly.
"I.. Don't know. I can't remember." I sighed and sat down on a chair and rubbed my wet hair.
He stared at me, and then walked out of the room without another word.
I stared at my feet in shame. I was always making trouble..
I grabbed my journal, and begun to sketch in it. I always drew new designs for bows, and arrows. It always helped me calm down whenever I drew or just wrote.
I laid down on my bed and begun to write, when I leaned back and stared at the ceiling.
"I was previously known as Princess Cassidy."
I blinked, and for a moment I let the voice echo in my mind, when I bolted up.
"That's it! She wants to kill Princess Harmony by making Princess Kaliska do her work for her!" I immediately grabbed my robe and rushed out of my room. My feet echoed on the tiled floor as I rushed down the hallway. It often annoyed me when I'd hear that, but now wasn't the time.
I ran into my father's chambers, and found my brother and my father talking to each other.
"Father! I remember!" I said as I jogged lightly over.
"You do?" My father asked as he stared at me in interest.
"Yes, Princess Cassidy is the one behind all this. She is trying to use Princess Kaliska to kill Princess Harmony! I don't know why but I believe she might've even been the one to sent those people to the ball." I said quickly, and Spruce and father blinked in surprise.
"So she's back.." My father murmured as he rested his hand over his mouth and thought hard.
"Do you know where she is?" He asked as he looked up, and I thought about it hard.
"No.. I didn't get much of a chance to look around." I said grimly, and my father sighed.
"Well I shall send out some knights. Spruce, you shall lead them." He said to my brother, and he nodded and begun to walk out of the room. I started to follow, but my father rested a hand on my shoulder.
"I want you to stay here, Colt." He said to me, and I shook my head.
"No father, I must go with them." I said, but my father smiled softly.
"You need to heal after you just came back. I don't want you overdoing yourself. Plus, your head must hurt after being knocked out, and suddenly losing memory and regaining it all in one day." He said to me, and I looked at him in annoyance.
"I don't care father. I must stop Princess Kaliska. Not only her, but Princess Cassidy too." I said in determination as I ripped myself away from my father's grasp, and I rushed out. I only stopped by my room to quickly change into a black top, with a cloak over top.
I pulled the hood over my head, and rushed out. The other soldiers and my brother had already left, but I grabbed my horse, and found that I left my bow and quiver with the horse.
I smiled, and pulled the bow and quiver over my shoulder, and climbed on my horse.
I quickly rode out into the forest, and went to the catori village.
It was quiet, and people waved at me as I passed, and I shortly waved but I quickly reached the Queen and king's house, and knocked.
King Lucas answered, and he frowned.
"Princes Colt? What are you doing here?" He asked, and I pulled the hood off so I could properly look at him.
"Is Princess Harmony here?" I asked, and he frowned.
"No she went out to the forest for a run today. Now that I think about it, she should've been back by now..." Lucas murmured, and I cursed softly, and whirled around and raced off into the woods.
When I had been running for a couple minutes, I heard a scream.
"Harmony!" I shouted, and finally found her being pinned by a leopard.
I went up from behind and dragged Kaliska off Harmony.
When Kaliska looked at me, all I saw in her eyes was guilt and regret.
