I laid in Colt's bed, staring up at the dark ceiling, as tears travelled down my face. It was still hard to believe that he had been cursed this whole time, I never wanted to believe it. Part of me still loved him, no matter what kind of monster he was. I brushed my hand across my cheek, brushing off the wet tears, as I continued to stare at the ceiling.
"I promise I'll find a way to save you." I whispered, and shut my eyes, remembering all those times we spent together. I remembered the memory of when we first met, and it made me smile, as more tears rushed down my face. "Colt..." I kept my eyes tightly shut, as I imagined his face smiling at me in my mind.
The sudden sound of the window creaking open, made my eyes fling open. I rose up in bed, staring around the dark room, but my vision allowed me to see clearer. To my suprise, the window was open, but nothing was present in the room. I growled, and reached my dagger beside me, but it was gone. As I was just about to climb out of bed, to retrieve my sword at the opposite end of the room, someone's hand slapped across my mouth. I let out a muffled scream through their hand, but it wasn't enough.
The person pulled me back into their body, and handcuffed my wrists. I struggled, trying to get a glimpse of my kidnapper, as they threw me over their shoulder, and leaped out the window.
"Let me go!" I cried out, and the person tied a cloth around my face. I let out more muffled screams, as they ran. Since the cloth was blocking my vision too, I had no idea where we were.
The person finally stopped, and cleared their throat,
"I found her, Cassidy." The voice made tears appear in my eyes. It was Colt.
"Good, good. Bring her into the house." I heard Cassidy cackle, and Colt started to walk again. Colt placed me down onto stone ground, and I felt handcuffs put around one of my ankles, tying me down.
"Colt...please don't do this." I whispered to him, and the guy tore off the cloth covering my vision. I stared at his face, but he didn't look at all the same. His beautiful green eyes were now a dull green colour. Not to mention, he had an evil smirk on his face.
"I can't believe I used to love you." He snickered, and rose to his feet, exiting the room. I felt more tears blur my vision, as the guy left.
"Aw, poor girl." Cassidy entered the room, giggling like mad. I slammed against the chains,
"You evil woman!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, and Cassidy glared at me, and slapped me across the face. I fell back in shock, but returned the glare at the woman. She gave me an evil grin, and pulled out a knife,
"I've been waiting so long to kill you." She smirked, and traced the knife along my throat. I gulped, but tried to stay strong, as I continued to glare. "But, sadly, I'm not going to be the one to kill you." She whispered into my ear, and rose back to her feet, her heels clomping against the floor as she left the room. I looked up at the door she left from, and watched as Colt walked back in.
The guy held a deadly looking knife in his hand, as he stalked toward me. In his other hand, was a potion. I looked up at him, feeling more tears in my eyes.
"Please Colt..." I gasped, as he created a cut along my thigh. I looked straight into his eyes, that didn't have any trace of Colt in them. They were bloodthirsty, and so evil. "I love you." I whispered, and reached up to cup his face in my hand. Colt glared at me, and shoved down my hand,
"You don't love me, not now." He shouted, and slit a long cut into my collar bone. I couldn't believe the man I loved was doing this to me, but I knew it wasn't his fault. He was cursed after all.
"You don't have to do this, I can help you."
"No one can help me, you understand!" He shouted again, and shoved his boot into my chest. I cried out in pain, and fell onto the floor, crying out, as he removed his boot and pressed it onto my stomach instead.
"You have to stop letting the evil get to you, please Colt." I whispered, looking up into his green eyes. For a second, I thought I saw a flash of his old self, but it was gone in an instant.
"But I am the evil Kaliska." He grinned, his green eyes slowly transforming into red, "I work for Cassidy now, and it's my job to get rid of you, and all of the humans and the Catori."
"Why? Think of all those innocent children you'll kill. Are you seriously going to kill them too? and what did these people ever do to you or Cassidy?"
"They took away Cassidy's throne!" He spat in my face, and I sighed,
"And that's why you're going to kill all these innocent people? Just because of a dumb crown, that she didn't recieve?"
"They need to pay the price."
"No, they don't. You can kill me, but no one else deserves this." Colt laughed,
"Oh, you think I am going to fall for that? You dumb Catori." He cackled, and slapped me across the face. I growled out in pain, and clenched my fists,
"I won't let you kill them Colt." I hissed, and the guy shook his head, laughing,
"Try to stop me, woman."
"Oh I will." I slammed against the chains, bringing my face dangerously close to his.
"What are you going to do?" He smirked, placing a hand under my chin, and bringing my face even closer. I grinned, and headbutted the guy, listening to him groan in pain, as he fell backwards, clutching his bleeding nose.
"You." Colt slammed his fist into my stomach, instantly winding me. I struggled to breath, as I glared up at the guy, and he punched me in the exact spot where I had headbutted him. My nose began to bleed, and I could feel it dripping into my mouth. I glared at Colt, and spat blood right onto his face.
Colt glared, and wiped the blood of his face, rising up to his feet,
"I'll be back." He growled, but just as he was about to leave, I used all my force possible, and the chains broke. Colt spun around as I bolted at him, shoving him into the bars of the jail cell. The guy cried in pain, as I held him against the wall, snarling in his ear.
"Don't make me do this, Colt." I growled, ready to transform at any moment. Colt suddenly threw me off him, and I was sent flying into the wall. The guy snickered, and stalked toward me, grabbing me by my hair. I screamed and screamed, as the guy threw me again and again into the wall, and I could feel the blood pouring from my head.
"Get away from my daughter." I heard a very, very angry growl, and I looked to see Lucas standing in his wolf form. He leaped towards Colt, and ripped him off me, throwing the guy into the floor. I watched in shock as Lucas dug his claws deep into Colt's skin.
"Dad, please don't kill him." I pleaded, and the guy looked up at me,
"He hurt you Kaliska. This man has every right to die." He raised up his claw, and was about to strike, but I got in the way at the last second, turning into a leopard. I threw my father off Colt, and stood in between the two men.
"Would you look at this." Cassidy was laughing, and I looked to see her, with a couple of guards at her side. "Take them down." She grinned, and the guards ran toward us. My dad and I tried to fight them off, but they suddenly shoved needles into our skin, that instantly made us transform back, and made us weak.
"Dad..." I whispered, as the guards tied us up,
"We will get out of here, sweetheart. I promise nothing will happen to you." He half smiled, and his hand reached out for mine.
"And I promise nothing will happen to you, either dad." I cried out, praying I would find someway to get my father out of this mess, even if it meant me not escaping.
