I stood on the balcony outside my room, smiling at the beautiful sunset and forest below.
"This is so peaceful." I giggled, as Lilac walked toward me tray in hand,
"No kidding, let's just hope a war doesn't suddenly strike out." The purple haired girl joked,
"Don't be silly." I chuckled, and took the warm bowl of soup off the tray, along with a glass of water.
"Princess, may I ask if something is troubling you?" Lilac suddenly asked, and I smiled at her,
"I'm fine, no need to worry."
"No. This isn't the Princess Kaliska that I know."
"I would tell you if I could. I'm afraid it could be too dangerous."
"I have just the thing that would cheer you up then."
"What's that?"
"Silver water hot springs." She flashed me a grin, and I sighed, thinking of the beautiful place,
"That would be perfect, thank you Lilac." The girl smirked,
"No need to thank me. Now, go grab you're towel." I was about to run out the door, when I remembered my father.
"What if my dad finds out? He's going to kill me!" I whispered loudly to Lilac, who's grin only seemed to grow larger.
"I'll distract him."
"How?"
"I will say you are in your room sleeping, and would not like to be disturbed."
"Perfect, you're the best!" I gave my friend a hug, and she laughed, as I snuck through the castle, taking the secret route I had know since I was a child.
Just being in this long eerie corridor gave me memories of my childhood. I swiftly darted out of the castle, and cheered, running toward the stables.
Peeking around the stable, I was overjoyed to find I was the only one here. Giggling, I sprinted toward my house, and jumped up on her bareback.
"Let's go!" I kicked her into a gallop out of the stables, and we rode off through the forest.
---
I climbed off my horse, and tied her to a tree, walking toward the sparkling hot spring, and peeling off my clothes.
"Aah." I smiled, as I waded into the spring, feeling the hot water instantly calm my nerves, and rid of all my stress. I sunk deeper into the spring, running the water through my low hair, and giggling as I began to relax more and more. It was so relaxing, especially with the beautiful moon and evening sky up above.
The trees around me swayed gently in the calm winds, and I sighed in content, looking up at the stars above my head.
"Why are you so annoying!" I heard someone muttering, and walking through the bush. Getting back to my senses, I peered over the edge off the hot spring, and glanced through the darkness, trying to see who was there.
The person finally emerged out of the bushes, grumbling and looking up when they saw the spring.
"It really is silver!" He laughed, and I immediately recognized who's voice it was. Of course it was Colt.
"Hello, Colt." I spoke up, putting my arms up on the edge of the hot spring, revealing my face to Colt. The black haired guy blushed heavily when he saw me, and he fell backwards, his back knocking against a tree.
"Are you alright?" I shrieked, and rose to my feet, pulling a towel over my body. I walked over to the guy, and noticed he had fainted.
"Oh Colt." I giggled gently, and carried him toward my horse.
"Princess Kaliska?" I looked over my shoulder, and saw Spruce with a few of his Knights.
"That's where my baby brother went." He sighed, shaking his head.
"Poor boy, he ran into me bathing, and fainted." Spruce laughed,
"That's hilarious. Well, we should leave you in peace then. I'll take my brother." He took Colt from me, and put the boy on the back off his horse. I watched them take off, and I waved, smiling brightly. My heartbeat was thumping against my chest, and I started to wonder if I actually had fallen for Colt.
"I know we'll see each other again soon." I whispered, smiling at the thought. I turned around, and was about to head back to the hot spring, when a hand suddenly slapped against my mouth. Struggling, and trying to scream, I realized it was no use, and the corners of my vision slowly began to fade.
I soon fell into darkness.
---
"Is she awake yet?" I heard the same sweet voice of the so called Princess Cassidy. The woman came up, her curls bouncing as she walked toward me.
"Hello, Kaliska." She grinned manically, and I looked up at her, growling. I soon discovered I was in the same room as the one I was captured in before. "You failed my mission." Cassidy voice suddenly went cold, and she grabbed a large knife. I shrieked, and struggled against my chains, as the girl ran the cold knife across my face, drawing blood.
"It's too bad you're going to have a die. You'll never really learn the truth about your mother." The woman giggled, and sliced the knife across my collarbone, drawing more blood than before. I let out a small cry in pain, and watched the blood drip down my body that was dressed in nothing but a towel.
"If you're going to kill me, promise me one thing."
"What is that?"
"Don't you dare touch Colt, Spruce, or Harmony."
"Colt and Spruce I might leave alone, but I'm sorry about Harmony, she's a different matter."
"If what you said is true, she is my sister. So, don't you dare lay a hand on her."
"Too bad, sweetie." She stabbed me in the lower stomach, and I cried out in pain, my eyes widened when I discovered I was coughing up blood.
"Bye bye, Princess Kaliska!" Cassidy skipped out of the room, while my stomach bled out. I pressed the towel against the wound, trying to put as much pressing on it as possible. The pain was so bad, and I found myself vomiting from it.
"I won't let you hurt anyone." I whispered to the leaving Cassidy.
