I glared heavily at the man who had just wounded my brother, and I bolted toward him, my sword held out in front of me. The guy glared back, as he pressed the sword farther into my brother's back, and I shouted loudly, and bolted toward him. I was just about to strike down my sword, when Kaliska took my place instead. She shoved a katana into the man's stomach, and he collapsed to the ground, blood pooling around the sword.

Kaliska pulled her sword out of the man's stomach, and threw him over, placing her foot right on his chest,

"You're a sick human being." She growled in his face, and sliced her sword across his neck, not letting him suffer any longer. The girl spun her head around to look at me, with her hair almost shielding her eyes.
"Take Colt to my kingdom, there are plenty of healers there, and it will be safe." she instructed, about to slip her sword back into her belt, and take off,

"Wait, where are you going?" I asked, as I picked up my now unconcious brother.

"I'm going to defend you're kingdom." She explained, and bolted off. I let out a sigh, praying that Kaliska would be safe, as I carried Colt out to the stables, managing to dodge the battlefield on my way to the stables. They were complete chaos. The barn was lit on fire, and horses were neighing and rearing like mad. Thankfully most of the horses had managed to escape, and the only ones left were my horse, Colt's, and two others.

I placed Colt on the ground outside the burning stable, and placed a blanket on him, so our enemies wouldn't see him. Then, I bolted into the stables, and unlocked each of the stalls of the trapped horses, and they all galloped out. At my horse's stall, I let him out, and I soared onto his back, kicking him into a gallop out of the stable. Jumping off the horse's back, I ran to Colt, and picked him up from the ground, placing him on the back off my horse.

"You!" I heard a shout, and I kicked my horse back into a gallop, just barely dodging the arrow that was headed for my head.

"That was close." I chuckled softly, and looked down at my unconcious brother. "Please hold up for now." I whispered, and looked around me. I was now deep into the forest, and I let out a relived sigh, as I continued on. Up ahead of me, I could clearing see Kaliska's castle, and I grinned down at my brother,

"We're safe now." I smiled, and rode my horse towards it. A few guards instantly greeted me and the gate, and let me in, already knowing I was the prince of the human kingdom. I rushed through the castle, still carrying Colt, and calling out for any healers. Many came rushing towards me, and they helped me bring Colt into a room, and they placed him onto the bed.

I waited beside my brother's bed, praying that he hadn't lost too much blood. The healers seemed to be very concerned, but after about an hour, this completely faded away. As soon as the healers had left, Colt opened his eyes.

"Is this Kaliska's castle?" He asked, sitting up and rubbing his eyes. I nodded, and the guy smiled,

"I could tell." He stretched, and then looked straight at me,

"Where is Kaliska, by the way?" I froze at his comment. Kaliska hadn't shown up in all this time, and I'd never really realized. "Well, where is she?"
"Do you remember anything of last night?"

"Yeah of course, there was a war going on. Cassidy attacked again."

"Kaliska hasn't returned yet." I heard a voice, and the two of us looked to see a knight with short and light brown hair enter the room,

"Who are you?" Colt said exactly what I was about to say,

"I'm just one of her knights." He shrugged, and scratched his neck. Colt rose out of bed, and I ran to his side,
