Chapter 13: Harmony

I sleepily opened my eyes, expecting to find myself in my bed, but when I found myself tied to a tree, with my hands and legs restrained, I cried out in surprise.
"Ah, good to see you awake, Princess." A voice spoke to me, and I trembled when I remembered who that silky voice belonged to.
The girl with the curly blonde hair walked out from behind a tree, twirling a dagger in her hand. I struggled harder against my restraints when she approached me, but it was hopeless.
Suddenly, I found the blade pressed against my cheek, and she softly ran it along my cheek to my ear, and she did it again, only pressing harder this time, and left a long scratch that begun to trickle blood.
She smirked and took the moment to run her tongue along the blade, and lick at my blood. I curled my lip in disgust, and scowled at her.
"Look, I have no clue why you want me, but don't you dare threaten my family." I spat in hatred, and gave her my best threatening, death glare.
She giggled like a maniac, and ran the blade along my bare arm, drawing a long scratch on the underide of my arm, and I bared my teeth.
"I want you to scream and beg for your life." She whispered on my ear, her breath hot.
She pressed the knife harder, and I was scared she was going to open a vein. If she did, I'd bleed to death out here..
But I never beg. She wasn't going to break me down that easily.
I head butted her before she could move away, and even thought it hurt me and left me feeling dizzy, she also experienced pain, maybe even more because she wasn't expecting it.
"You jerk! You ruined my perfect forehead!" She screamed at me, and ran a long line along my other arm, before I felt her punch me in the gut. I tried to gasp for air, and let out a breathless scream as she begun to twist my fingers in ways they weren't meant to go. I wouldn't be surprised if she broke some.
Finally, she neared the knife near my eye.
"N-no.. GET IT AWAY!" I screamed, and she cried out in sadistic joy.
"Yes! Beg for it!" She shouted at me, and grabbed my hair, amd came closer to pressing the dagger to my eye.
Finally.. I felt an unbearable pain against my eye, and I tried closing my eye, or doing anything, but it was hopeless.
The pain made me cry out in vain. This was pure torture.
Finally, I could feel my consciousness slipping from me, and I felt her slice my hair. I could just see my hair falling to the ground in clumps, and I wanted to scream out, but nothing was working. All that I could see in my left eye was red...
Soon, I closed both of my eyes, and felt my head slump as I gave way into the darkness.

"Her eye... Oh my god her eye!!"
'Mother? Why are you crying?'
"I'll kill her.. I swear to god I'll kill Cassidy!"
'Father? Why do you sound so angry?'
I tried to speak my thoughts, but nothing came out. I tried to force my eyes open, but I was just met with black. Fear clouded all my thoughts.
"L-Look I think she might be awake!" I heard my mother sigh, and my father growled.
"Well maybe we'd know if the doctor bandaged just her one eye, and not both of them!" I've never heard my father sound so frustrated, and mad. Did I do something wrong?
I whimpered when unbearable pain came from my left eye, and I struggled more.
"Harmony? Are you okay?" A new voice spoke to me, and I tried to think of who it belonged to.
"What do you think, Spruce?" I heard another voice, that sounded annoyed, but quite mature. For a moment, I thought it was an adult, but I soon realized it was Colt when Spruce argued with Colt.
"H-Help why can't I see?" I finally found my voice. I didn't mean it to sound so distressed, but I've always had trouble with containing my emotions.
Everyone went silent, and I got more scared.
I finally fet my mother hug me, and sob quietly.
I reached up to my eyes, and found the bandage over my left eye slightly wet. Was that blood?!
I gripped my mom harder in the hug, and I shook slightly.
"Cassidy did this.." I whimpered, and my father growled again.
"Don't worry.. She's never gonna hurt you again. Okay?" My mother said to me quietly.
"Thank you.. I love you mom.." I said as I felt it hard to keep speaking.
