Chapter 45: Harmony

I sat in a tree and kicked my feet back and forth uselessly. It's been so boring lately and I felt like jumping off a cliff so I could get the adrenaline back in my veins. If I have to spend one more minute like this, I'll go insane!
I groaned and leaned back in the tree until I heard someone knock on the stump below.
I looked below to see Spruce sitting on his horse and was smiling at me.
I wondered if he could bring me action?
Jumping from the tree, I landed behind him on the horse softly and hugged him.
"It's been far too boring." I told him and he laughed.
"Well want to go on a patrol with me?" He asked, and I hummed in thought, before I nodded excitedly and he rode us over to my house before I raced in and grabbed my weapons and things I needed.
"Where are you going?" My father questioned me as I saw him standing at the entrance to my room. I attached my rapier to my belt before I walked over.
"Just heading out to do some patrol with Spruce." I explained and he rose an eyebrow.
"Is that all?" I blushed a dark red and smacked him lightly on the shoulder when he winked and laughed loudly.
"Well be careful." He hugged me and I smiled up at him hefore I rushed out and climbed onto Spruce's horse.
I gave him a peck on the cheek before the horse galloped out into the forest.
It was peaceful to say the least. We went close to the old hideout Cassidy was in and it seemed silent enough. I wonder where she's been...
Just as we were riding we heard someone running behind us.
I pulled out my rapier and Spruce stopped us and we faced the bushes that were moving. We were surprised when Colt stumbled out though.
He was breathing heavily as if he had sprinted the entire way here and had leaves in his hair.
"Colt?" Spruce blinked in surprise but we heard the bushes move again and Colt raced over to us and hid behind the horse. A second later a couple guards walked out from the bushes.
The lead guard saw Colt and sighed heavily.
"Prince Colt, please stop acting like a child and come back to Hiroko." He demanded and Colt glared over the horse.
"I already told her I'm signing a divorce." He snapped and Spruce and I glanced at each other.
"Hey Colt, want to come along with us?" I asked and he looked up in gratitude.
"Yes." He simply answered and climbed on. It was a little squished now to fit us all on but we rode off anyway.
"So what was that about?" Spruce asked Colt and he groaned loudly.
"Hiroko isn't accepting the divorce and is demanding that I give her heirs to the kingdom." He grumbled and I rolled my eyes.
"Also, I'd like to go visit Kaliska so I'll get off soon. Uh.. Where are we anyway?" He asked suddenly as he looked around. I glanced around and didn't find it that familiar either.
I looked at Spruce but he was pulling out a map.
"I'm not sure." He admitted. What none of us saw coming next was an arrow to fly out of the air and nick my ear. I instantly put a hand against my ear and we all instantly jumped to battle mode. Colt quickly shot the person that was hiding in the tree before he turned to us.
"I have some support crystals." He told us and a second later he showered magic power on us and I felt my legs grow stronger. I didn't know what it did but when Spruce shot forward and stabbed a man that was just appearing, I realized it was a speed buff.
I grinned and readied my rapier and listened carefully. When another arrow shot from a tree I quickly sliced the arrow in half with my rapier and ran forward and jumped into the tree and hit the man who fell out of the tree.
I quickly looked to see people running out from spots and I growled lightly. This wasn't turning out good.
I jumped from the tree and spun with my rapier out and cut a lot of people down but more people replaced them.
I found us all getting seperated slowly and I fought through the crowd but people began to deflect my attacks and I could feel the magic power fading which meant Colt was getting more and more tired. I fought harder anyway and finally found Spruce. But just as I was to get over to him I felt an intense pain on my back and I fell to the ground and writhed around until I felt my arms be tied.
I looked up to see Cassidy holding a crystal in her hands and smirking at us.
"Harmony!" Spruce shouted and tried to run over to me but people overwhelmed him like a wave.
Soon we were both held down and I saw Colt still standing but people held his arms behind his back. He spat curses at Cassidy who giggled at him.
"Ah good. You all have a good fire in you. You're going to need it." She smirked and walked over to me before she showed a new crystal. It glowed a dark blue and just looking at it almost made me feel dizzy. Colt started shouting things but I couldn't hear him.
I felt my eyes being forced closed but I looked at Spruce one last time before I felt my eyes close and I fell into a deep sleep immediately.

"God shut up for a moment Ren and let her sleep!" An annoyed voice made me come to my senses and I opened my eyes slowly when I heard two voices I couldn't recognize.
"Just go start making dinner, Rin." Another voice that sounded similar to the first, growled to the first.
I looked over to see two twins. They both had red hair but one twin had messier hair and the other twin had softer looking hair.
"Uh.. Who are you?" I asked and they both whirled around at the same time and their eyes widened. They both had pretty blue eyes too.
"Oh you're awake." One twin said and handed me a cup of water that was sitting on a desk beside me. I looked at my surroundings and noticed I was in a cozy little bedroom. I studied the cup and then the twin, but he had nice friendly eyes, so I carefully took the cup and took a sip. When I realized how thirsty I was, I downed the entire thing.
"Let us introduce ourselves! My name is Ren. I'm the older of the two of us." He smiled and I shook hands with him before I looked at the other twin.
"I'm Rin.." He grumbled as he stared at me.
"May I ask where I am?" I asked as I stepped out of bed when I found I didn't have that bad of injuries.
"Oh. Well the town you're in is called Drisebel." Ren explained and I frowned. I don't recall ever hearing of a town called Drisebel.. Where in the world did I end up after that fight?
"Well.. My name is Harmony. I'm a Catori." I explain when I look the twins down and notice they don't have any animal parts.
"Ah I've heard of Catori's.. Except we don't really have them around here." Rin said, suddenly interested.
"Well I need to get back home pronto." I say as I see my gear and grab it.
"Would you like us to help you?" Ren asked and smiled. I raise an eyebrow.
"Can you fight?" I question and Ren smirks.
"We're known as the best two warriors in the kingdom. In other words, yes." He said as Rin walked out of the room.
"Well let's at least eat first. It's nearly dinner time." Ren said as I watched him walk out of the room. They don't necessarily look strong but strength isn't everything. I follow quietly and hope that everyone back home is alright.
