Hyunjin x Felix series 2

Remember

Hyunjin takes his son to Changbin's and Seungmin's place. The two help him out with his things then he gets back in the car.

"Watch him for me, ok?"
"Jinhyun is safe in our hands.", replied the eldest.

Hyunjin drives off. At the hospital Felix made it in time to see his Eomma. He sits beside her.

"Felix...you came?", she says quietly.

"Why wouldn't I?"
"I thought..you were still angry..with us."

"I'm not happy about it, but it's in the past."

"You were always such a good boy. Sorry for being so..tough on you."
"It's fine. Why didn't you tell me you were sick?"

"I..tried..to. At your wedding. I guess you were..busy."

The memory of that night ran through his mind. 'Eomma, where's Hyunjin and Jinhyun?' 'I don't know. I have to tell you something, Felix.' 'Not now, eomma.' He had walked away.

"I'm sorry, Eomma."
"It's alright. It was deserved, but..I..forgive you."

"Eomma-"
"Felix..I need to tell you...something."

"Don't say anything else. Just rest."
"Tell Hyunjin...I'm.."

"Eomma? Eomma?"
No response.

Felix sits back in his chair staring at her. His appa stands next to him and rest his hand on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry, Felix.", he appa spoke.

When Hyunjin arrived he went into the waiting room then Felix and his appa come walking out.

"Felix."
"Hyunjin."
They embraced each other.

"Are you ok? Is she ok?"
"She is no longer with us.", appa said.

"I'm so sorry for your loss."
"Thank you."
"Let's go.", Felix walks away.

Hyunjin follows then looks back at his appa standing alone.
"Felix, shouldn't you be with your appa right now."

"He's fine by himself."

On the ride back Felix remains silent, watching the rain pour down. Memories of his Eomma run through his mind and they were more bad ones than good ones.

In fact, he can't remember a time where he actually enjoyed being with her. She never approved of anything he did. Nor did his appa. The only thing she cared decently about was Jinhyun.

The younger never shed a single tear. Hyunjin parks the car then turns to his husband.

"How are you feeling?"
"I don't know."
"Do you want to talk about it?"

"About what? There's nothing to talk about. I just want to forget this."

"Felix, you can't-"

"You know she had something to say about you and she didn't even finish. Can you believe that? Of course why would she finish? It doesn't even matter now."

"I know you hate your parents, but you still spend your most vulnerable moments with them."

"No I can't because they are no vulnerable moments. If I showed a first sign of weakness, you know what they would do? Verbally abuse me and tell me to toughen up because I'm a man. And sometimes that wouldn't be enough. I'm glad I left when I did. I met you. And only you made me feel like life was worth living.", he opens his umbrella then went inside.

Later that night rain still falls as they all eat dinner. Hyunjin and Changbin sit in the living room while Felix feeds his son were accompanied by Seungmin.

"How's he doing?", Changbin asked.
"Angry. He didn't have a good relationship with his parents."

"He never did talked about them with me."

"But, lately he's been getting along with them well. I guess you can't forget all those tormented years."

"Will there be a funeral?"
"If there is, he most likely won't be the first to rsvp."

Felix is focused on feeding Jinhyun while Seungmin thinks of something to say.

"So. Do you want to talk about anything?"
"Nope."

"What about your unborn child? I hear it's a girl."
"Yup."

"And that one guy Jisung. You two been hanging out a lot?"
"Mhmm."

"...I know you're not doing too well, but-"

"What do you mean? I feel fine. Great even. No worries at all. I don't know why you all are so worried for nothing. There's nothing wrong, ok?! Nothing!"

Felix storms off into Changbin's room. Jinhyun plays around with his food like nothing happened. Hyunjin goes after his husband.

"What the hell, Felix. You know we're just trying to be comforting."
"Well, your comfort isn't working."

"Then what will work?"
"You guys forgetting this whole thing."

"Ok. This whole day didn't happen. It's forgotten. I mean it."
The younger looks at his serious face.

"Thanks."
The older kneels in front of him and caressed his stomach.

"Did you think of a name yet?"
"No. You?"
"You won't like them."

"Oh lord."
"You know me."

Felix smiles softly then the older placed his hand on his cheek.
"I love you."

"I love you too. And I honestly feel better now."
"Good."

Hyunjin lays his head on the younger's pregnant belly.
"What are you doing?"

"Feeling."
Sooner than later he felt a kick.
"Gasp! Did you feel that?"

"I did."
"Our daughter just kicked me in my face."

"Haha! You're so silly."
"If it'll make you smile."
Felix cups his face and kissed him.

"What will I do without you?"
