Hyunjin x Felix series 2

Better already?

"I mean I'll stay with you but I won't be here.", Felix explained.
"You lost me."

"I'm staying married to you ok?"
"Ok I got that."
"But I will be staying with Jisung."

"You are?", both Jisung and Hyunjin said.
"Not forever. Just a for a bit."

"Do...do you still love me?"

"Of course I do. I love you so much.  I want to know how to do things on my own. I will also be there for the kids too."

"I would like it if you stayed."
Felix walks towards him and takes his hands.

"I'm sorry. But what if something happens to you and I can't take care of myself or the kids? I can't keep relying on everyone all the time. I need to be strong. For you and this family."

"When are you coming back?"
"I don't know. Please don't be mad."

"I cant say I won't miss cuddling you."

"Me too. I would never remove you from my life or my heart. You've done more for me than anyone has for anybody. From the moment I was about to fall from the roof."

Hyunjin pulled him in for a hug as his eyes watered. "I'm so sorry."
"Don't be. I hope to come back in no time."

"Ok."

The blonde went to Jinhyun's and Lily's room to kiss them goodnight before collecting some things and leaving with Jisung. Little did he know the things that he always done with Hyunjin would be more than difficult when he's doing it alone.

The next morning, the first day of Felix self strengthening journey, he drives to the house to pick up Jinhyun and take him to daycare. He enters the kitchen and saw the two little ones eating breakfast.

"Mama!", Jinhyun yelled.
"Morning my angels. Morning Hyun."

"Good morning. You seem..happy."

"Do I?"
"Yeah you're glowing. I mean- am I allowed to say that?"

"Of course you are. Thanks. Are you done eating, Jinhyun?"
"Nuh uh!", he shakes his head.

"He's been eating for 20 minutes."

"Well at least he's not making a mess.", he says even though his bowl was upside down in the table and his food spilled. "..on himself."

"Are you taking him to his play date afterwards?"
"Yes. I can."

The blonde lifts Jinhyun out of his chair and onto the floor before taking his backpack from Hyunjin's hand.

"Ok. I will see you later.", he kissed him goodbye. "Bye Lily. Lily?"
She looks elsewhere.

"Lily."
"Don't worry. She loves you even though she doesn't show it."

"If you say so. Come on Jinhyun."

Felix takes him to daycare then stays for a bit to talk with Minho.
"So I'm guessing Jisung told you."

"Yup. You look better already."
"Thanks but it's hard. I almost got lost on the way over here."

"It's only ten minutes away though. So how?"
"I don't know. But I'll get the hang of it. Jinhyun, say bye to Eomma."

"Byeee!!", he waves then runs to SunSun.
"Glad to see he has a friend."

"Were you worried?"
"Maybe a little. Especially if he ever gets freckles."

"I'm sure he and SunSun will remain friends no matter what."
"Let's hope."

Over the next few hours Felix did some chores that he gave himself to do that he usually does with his husband or Hyunjin does by himself. His struggle was when he's at the store. He calls Hyunjin.

"Yes?"
"Hyun I need help."
"What's wrong? Are you ok?"

"Yeah I'm fine. I just need help with Jinhyun's food. Do you know what brand it is?"

"For which one?"
"The apple sauce one."
"He eats apple sauce?"

"No. It's just looks like it."
"I see one in a green jar."
"Ok. What's the brand?"

"Uhm...I don't know."
"What do you mean you don't know? It's in letters."

"It says a lot of things. Just get the green jar."
"Literally all of these jars are green."

"Dark green?"
"...can you send me a picture?"
"Ok."

Felix hangs up and looks at the picture the older sent.
"It's in all caps."

He grabs a couple of them then a few other things before heading to check out. But he has problems there too so he calls Hyunjin again.

"Yes?"
"I'm at self check out and it's asking for a pin."

"Just skip it."
"I did that but it didn't work."
"Are you pushing the right button?"

"Yes Hyunjin. I am. I'm following the instructions. Do you know the pin?"

"No."
"Wha- then how am I supposed to pay?"

"I usually skip the pin. Wait do you have the right card?"
"The one with your name on it?"

"I have more than one."
"Well that's confusing."
"Which one is the one you have?"

"The black one."
"Ohh. Yeah...that's the wrong one. You need the red one."

"Oh my god. I feel stupid just standing here."
"It's ok. I'll bring it to you."

Minutes later the older hurries to him then hands him his red card.
"Are you sure it's this one and not a purple one?"

"I don't have a purple one. But I do have a blue one."
The blonde doesn't respond to that and finished paying.

"What's the black one for?"
"It's my company's card. Do you need help?"

"No i got it.", he lifts the bags then the items fall through. The glass jars break and Hyunjin stands there holding in his laughter.

But failed and Felix stands there unamused.

"Haha! Hahahha! Hah~ I'm sorry. But at least you're still in the store. Pffft. Your face is priceless."

The younger frowns.
"I should've told you always double bag the glass."

"Yeah thanks for the heads up."
"Aw I'm sorry, love.", he hugs him while still laughing.
