What's wrong with Jisung?

In the morning, Jisung was his place to get ready for work when he gets delayed by vomiting in the bathroom again.

"Ugh. What's wrong with me? Maybe it was the chicken."

He gets up afterwards and takes more medicine before leaving. He walks groggily to the office then stops by a water fountain for some water. After two whole minutes he continues up the elevator. His phone rings so he answers it.

"H-hello?"
"Hey. Calling to see how it went."
"Who's this?"

"Felix."
"Oh yeah..right."
"So. How was it?"

"What is what?"
"Your date."

"Ohh. It went well...at first. But then I got sick from the chicken he made."

"Oof. That's not good. How are you feeling now?"
"Eh. Still a bit sick and thirsty. And hungry again."

"Do you want me to stop by?"
"No. I'm at work right now."
"You sure you can handle it?"

"Felix, I assure you I'm A-ok."
"If you say so. I'll let you go then."
"Bye."

He hangs up.
"Ughhhh. I feel like I can eat a village.", he plops in his chair.

During the whole day he didn't get any better or worse. He wondered if it was ever the chicken at all. After work he swings by Felix's to find out what's happening. The kids were down for a nap so the two sit in the kitchen while the blonde drinks some tea he made.

"I don't know what's happening to me. Every time I eat I throw it up and then I'll feel shitty and eat again. It's like a never ending cycle. It's been two days since I ate that chicken. A stomach bug doesn't last this long, does it?"

"It can. But I wonder why it makes you eat more."
"I wonder the same thing."

"Do you want to go to the doctor?"
"I don't want to. But if it doesn't go away then I'm fucked and I'll have to."

"How do you feel now?"

"Slightly nauseous. But craving different things. I just wanna go to the nearest restaurant and order everything on the menu."

"Uh huh. Tell me. When was the last time you've done it with Minho?"

"About last week. Why?"
Felix gives him a look then he realizes.

"No. No there's no way."
"Jisung-"
"No. I won't accept it.", he stands up and paces in the living room.

"Ji-"
"No no no no no. This can't be. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Someone just kill me now."

"It's not as bad as you think."
"Oh god. Please lord, let it not be true.", he prays.

"Jisung, it's just a theory that possibly you may be-"
"No. Don't say it. I don't wanna hear it."

The older sits on the couch and tears fall.
"Don't cry. It'll be ok."

"I hate myself!"
"Don't say that."
"It's my fault."

"How about we go get a test to be sure ok?"
Jisung sniffles and nods.

The blonde drives to a convenience store then they both have a look to see what test to get.

"How about this one?", Felix asked holding up a box. The older was about to cry again.

"Ok not that one. How about this? Honestly they all look the same. Ooh this one seems accurate and fast results too."

Jisung frowns.
"Come on work with me. It's just a test."

"It's more than that. You should know. My whole life is determined by whether those tests turns out to be positive."

"You're right. We'll get this one and take two to make sure."

Afterwards, they went back home and Felix waits for the older to come out the bathroom. He takes longer than expected and the blonde gets worried.

"Jisung? Are you alright?"
"I'm fucked."
"What? What is it?"

"My life is over."
"No it's not. Nothing will change ok?"

"Yours has."
"Actually not really."
"I'm not gonna have a child."

"Wait you're not?"
Jisung opens the door.

"No. It's negative. They both are."
"Bitch. Then why are you upset?"

"Because I'm actually sick from Minho's food. I might die."
"You won't die. Let's go to the hospital and check, ok?"

"No! Absolutely not. I'm terrified of what they're gonna say."

"I know the feeling. But I'll go with you so you'll feel better." The older frowns at him again.

"You're not really helping."

"Jisung."
"Ok. I'll go. But don't hold my hand."

"Ok."
"Maybe for a bit. Ack! I'm so scared!" Felix slaps him across the face but not too hard.

"Yah. Snap out of it. If my best friend ends up dying from this, then it's on me and I won't let that happen. So suck it up and go to that hospital like a fucking grown up."

"Yeah. You're right.", he takes a deep breath. "I got this." He walks outside.

"Whew. Thank god it's not me for once."
