―Get up! Now!
Dan stared at the man above him, amazed both by his technique and enormous physique. He never thought he'd see anyone killing the monsters with their fists. With a quick shot of adrenaline running through his body, he kicked the geek's head that had trapped his weapon, liberating his bloodied bat. The omega quickly hit another roamer close to them, looking over his shoulder towards the tall men that sucker-punched the geeks.
One of them was getting close to bite him as he crushed a skull with one of his hands, but a quick whistling caught his attention as an arrow flew from the window of an abandoned building, piercing its head in a squelching noise. Dan looked up to the origin of the arrow, noticing a man with a blonde bun holding a crossbow, charging it quickly as he aimed at another roamer close to the pair on the street.
―There's an opening!
The alpha shouted as he grabbed the omega by the wrist, pushing the monsters out of the way with ease, as if they were just made of paper Mache. They ran towards the door, closing it shut once both of them were inside; the alpha didn't lose time to start pushing a piece of furniture to block it. Dan looked at the door as the geeks pushed and groaned on the other side of it. Not knowing what else he could do, he helped push the cabinet this mystery man was using to secure the place as the roamers deafened his own accelerated heartbeats.
The taller one took a step back once the door was secured enough for them to keep running, looked over at the omega and raised an eyebrow.
―Do you have anosmia or are you deaf? You got a death wish or something?
Dan looked at him straight in the eyes, surprised to hear someone else's voice so clear after a long time only hearing his own.
―No, not at all, I just got surrounded... ―Dan raised his hands, holding his bat with strength so that in case the alpha went crazy. ―Look, I don't want any problems...
―Well, problems are outside, do you understand? ―the alpha groaned softly, looking over at the dude he just rescued.― Fuck, this is what happens when I try to help... people like you.
―People like me? What's that even supposed to mean?
The alpha opened his mouth to answer, but a young beta with black hair appeared from an employee door that lead to what seemed to be the inside of this building, interrupting both of them as the omega scanned the area, trying to find a way out.
Upon a quick look around, Dan knew exactly where they were: this place used to be a coffee shop he has scavenged before: since it was a tall building it was shared with other businesses, and didn't stood out a lot next to the other buildings nearby besides the fact that it was one or two floors taller than its neighbors.
―Jaekyung-hyung, the building is surrounded! What do we do?
―First of all, lower your voice, idiot. ―he muttered in a groan, listening to the beasts pounding the door. ―Where are Heesung and the rest?
―In the sixth floor, there's no way out.
―Goddamn it, just what we needed.
―Look what you did, now we're going to die. ―The beta reprimanded the recessive omega in the room as he looked right at him.
―Potato, this is not the time...―the alpha looked straight at the youngest with a stern look on his face.
―I've been here before, there is a way out. ―Dan defended himself, now looking over his shoulder as the groans intensified on the other side of the door. ―Grab your friend and follow me. ―The omega commanded at the alpha as he hurried towards the door the youngest just came from.
