Day 319

There, there... ―Nakyum patted the omega's back as he barfed in the closest bush.

I hate it... ―he sobbed, interrupted suddenly by another cramp in his stomach, vomiting the rest of what he had eaten for dinner the previous night.

It was probably the fish... I might've not cooked it right. ―he explained in a sigh, caressing his upper back as Seungho gave him one of the baby wipes, giving it to Dan as he slowly incorporated. ―Come on, clean yourself... I have some water in the thermos for you to wash your mouth.

D-don't... that's for Sanghyun and we're running low...

Just a sip, you'll feel better.

Dan begrudgingly nodded, resting his back against a tree as he took deep breathes trying to calm himself down. His heart was beating strongly, and his head hurts: how is it possible that he's not even able to eat what little they can find? He's going to starve to death at this point. As Nakyum brought him some water, another cramp struck him, leaning behind the same tree and throwing up nothing but bile.

The other omega sighed, caressing his back as he looked over at his husband, who simply nodded back at him. They've talked about Dan's mysterious state over the past month, and although Nakyum has come up with the most logical explanation, as far as he's concerned Dan hasn't had a heat yet.

When Dan stood up back again, he took one of the baby wipes to clean his face, whining softly before washing his mouth with some water, getting rid of that awful taste. His head hurts, so does his throat, and he has no idea why he's like this.

You're feeling better now?

Yeah, a little...

You'll be fine... It was probably the fish.

Nakyum guided Dan back to their impromptu camp, biting his own cheek as he knew it couldn't be that. Nobody else had gotten sick besides Dan, but he needs more information before jumping to conclusions. The rest of the team was quickly packing up their stuff, but besides their backpacks and few other items, they don't really have much to put away.

The fish from last night might be our last meal until we find something else. ―Jaekyung looked at the group.

We could always hunt, we've done it before. ―the blonde alpha crossed his arms.

How many bullets do you have left?

Like... Very few. I don't use it much, but we could use it for hunting.

I think it'd be best if you saved it for something else, one never knows when we might need one and attracting monsters because we're hungry is not the wisest thing to do. ―Jaekyung began, looking at the far side of the camp as the small family and Dan came from the woods. "The fuck...?"

Nakyum has a bow, he could hunt silently. ―Daehyun grinned.

My husband's archery abilities are not to be discussed without him. ―Seungho hurried his pace to get to the others, having Nakyum and Dan right behind him.

Well, now that he's here, Nakyum, do you think you could hunt? You've gotten really good with the bow and now it's our best option.

I... could try, I guess. ―Nakyum gulped, looking at Dan at his side.

The omega didn't look so well despite the refreshing sip of water he had given him, and the drawn look on his face was quite hard to ignore for everyone else in the camp, especially the dominant alpha, whose eyes haven't left Dan's silhouette from the minute they came back.
