Dan stared at Jaekyung as he gave him his back, now shirtless and ready for a massage. He looked towards the muscular back right in front of him, and slowly reached out to him, pressing his upper back first with his thumbs, keeping his calm as he carefully added the palm of his hands.

Did your tattoos hurt when you first got them? ―he asked out of curiosity as he massaged towards his injured shoulder, stretching it gently.

No. You have any?

No. ―Dan shook his head.

I figured, you don't look like the type to get tattoos.

He felt the tense muscles from the alpha move just under his fingertips, as if he himself controlled them like some sort of puppeteer. He paid attention to Jaekyung, hoping it wasn't bothering him at all as his hands took over his soft skin; Dan could hear him let out soft sighs, which for a masseur like him was a good sign that he was enjoying it. He did so much to help him out that, at this point, the only thing he can really do to thank him is something as simple as giving him a therapy.

Please, tell me if it hurts.

Will do.

Dan nodded to himself, moving his hands up and down his upper back, paying attention to any signs of stress in his muscles to get rid of it. Even for himself, something like this is almost like therapy: if he was going to continue the trip with them, the best he can do for everyone is to learn to live day to day with alphas again.

Tell me something about you.

Is me being a fighter not good enough?

But I didn't knew it until today, so tell me something else...―he said as he kept pressing his hands.

I don't know what to tell you...―the alpha muttered, letting himself be massaged. ―Were there a lot in your group at the beginning? ―he asked.

I thought you were telling me about yourself, not the other way around.

Well, who joined this group last?

Dan grunted and then pressed a little harder, hearing Jaekyung complain a little.

I was at the Sky Dome, so yeah, we were a lot.

A lot of you escaped?

Not really, only a few... What about you? How did you got out of the gym?

Heesung was the one who helped us. Picked us up in the back of the building in the first few hours because he went to my house and saw I wasn't there.

Seems like you guys are good friends.

Back then not really. He was a pain in the ass...

And you weren't? ―the omega asked amused, scoffing softly upon the alpha's grunt.

According to them, yes. But I guess the end of the world changed everyone, don't you think? ―Jaekyung looked over at Dan, looking into his eyes.

Dan stood still for a moment, paying attention to Jaekyung as he looked at him and nodded. His stomach turned upside down, but he forced himself to ignore it; he can't let his fears get the best of him all the time, especially after what they did just days ago.
