Night 286
Back when everything was normal, an abandoned car lot would've been the last place one would like to spend their night in, but in these days one like this where it didn't seemed as overrun as the other places they've been at was the most exclusive hotel they could afford. Dan, Jaekyung and Daehyun were in charge of clearing the area from any potential threats, which included some corpses and roamers that have been trapped inside this place for who knows how long.
After the omega ended the last critter in the area with a swift swing of his bat, he and the beta attempted to lift it up and throw it outside of the chained gate that surrounded the camp. Right outside of the place were other abandoned cars that other survivors must've used as an extra barrier to their camp, which now worked for them at least in this night they were to use this place. It was quite big, and relatively spacious, but one could easily tell where was the best place to camp thanks to the leftover ash from some bonfire in the middle of it.
When Dan grabbed the corpse's feet, Jaekyung quickly put a hand over his shoulder, making him look up a little confused. The alpha shook his head and grabbed him by the shoulders, moving him and then proceeding to help Daehyun instead. The beta scoffed and then shook his head, lifting the corpse by the shoulders.
―You know I can do that just fine, right? ―Dan crossed his arms, raising his eyebrow. ―I did it just days ago.
―Yeah, I know. But I wanted to do it for you.
Dan sighed, shaking his head. ―Fine then, do as you please... I'll go help the others to settle.
Dan started to walk towards where the rest of the team waited, right outside of the gate and the proceeded to look at the forest surrounding them, feeling a cold sensation walking through his spine. Shaking his head trying to get rid of the feeling, he arrived to the gate opened it up to help the alpha and beta walk out with the corpse as Heesung and Seungho helped out with the rest of the bodies. He knows Jaekyung enough to know he will not allow him to continue with the body dumping, so he helped Nakyum settle his things in one of the cars near the fire pit, looking at Potato attempting to start a fire with a couple rocks like a caveman.
―There's a couple lighters in my backpack, try to use that if you have any tro-
His explanation was interrupted when the young beta managed to get two sparks out, setting a couple of dry stuff into a blaze as he added some sticks and old rags he had found around. Dan raised his eyebrows quite surprised and nodded in approval.
―How did you learn? ―Nakyum smiled, holding his baby softly as he cooed in his arms and then drooled over his shirt, expecting to be fed soon. ―It's amazing.
―I saw Daehyun do it once. ―he smiled widely. ―It's the first time I tried it, though, I didn't thought it would work.
―Well, that's pretty impressive, Yoongu. ―Dan smiled as both he and Nakyum shuffled his hair around.
The beta shook his head before frowning for a moment, fixing his kind of long hair although he was blushing a little due to the compliments. Usually, the alphas and beta in the team keep theirs relatively short with the exception of Seungho, who always had it in a full top knot, but Yoongu had taken it upon himself to grow it out. Dan went back to the mother in the team, looking at the baby in his arms as he tried to get out the powdered milk and baby bottles of his backpack.
