―Happy birthday Dan! ―Tae-Kwan smiled softly as he brought a packed red bean bread to the makeshift bed the omega was sitting in, accompanied by other two survivors.

―It's your birthday? ―the tall, friendly alpha smiled, holding his partner's shoulders with joy.

―Why didn't you tell us? ―the violet-haired omega looked tenderly at the red bean cake that was brought for their friend.

―I figured there were bigger things to worry about than my birthday...―Dan mentioned as he blushed softly, taking the small bread in his hands. ―Thank you so much, Tae-Kwan... it's so nice of you.

―No problem birthday boy... I would stay for longer, but some of the scouts got injured and they need me there. ―the recessive alpha smiled widely before sweeping the other alpha in the place with his gaze, quickly leaving the place.

―Sure, see you later! ―he smiled and waved as the nurse went to the infirmary station.

Dan turned to the couple next to him, ignoring by accident the fact that the other alpha had turned around to see him one more time and smile before returning to duty. The taller alpha simply grinned, looking at his partner and then at the very friendly omega they met in the first few days in the Sky Dome.

―That's very sweet, Dan... He's your alpha?

―Dooshik you can't just ask people if anyone is their partner...―the omega reprimanded his boyfriend, only to turn around and smile at the brunette. ―So, is he?

―Oh no, no Jooha, no...―Dan giggled as he blushed vividly. ―We met when everything started, he saved me.

―Well, I think you guys would make a fine couple. ―Jooha smiled before pointing at his bean bread. ―You know, those things are basically gold, so I hope you enjoy it.

―Or pearls. ―Dooshik chuckled only to be met with a slap on his arm from his partner.

Dan laughed softly, looking at this adorable couple in front of him. According to them, they met at a restaurant Jooha used to work at a few years ago, and they've been basically inseparable ever since. The way Dooshik looked at him, how he handled him, the way he treated his omega so nicely made Dan feel some sense of admiration for them both. He didn't knew what love could be, or if it would ever come to meet him, but if it did the least he could wish for was something like this.

―Are you guys still planning on going to Jeju Island?

―Yes, we're going to try for it. I don't think it's as bad as the mainland, and we have a friend who happened to leave a boat unused for us.

―When are you leaving?

―Tomorrow morning.

―Do you want to come with us? You can bring your friend-who-is-not-your-alpha with you. ―Dooshik grinned.

―We have two spots available. ―the purple-haired omega added.

They had already talked about inviting Dan to escape with them, but if there's something they hadn't considered yet was the other dude. Dan seemed to like him, and given how selfless he was he wouldn't like to leave him behind in this cursed building.

―Oh guys that's... that's so sweet but I'd have to talk with him about it.

―We understand, don't worry. ―the alpha smiled and then looked at his partner. ―You know, communication between couples is very important...
