―Gone? What do you mean it's gone?
―It's what she said. She was telling me that we should stay here and then I mentioned we were actually heading to Busan and she said it was gone, that they lost communication with them months ago.
―But then what are we going to do? ―Dan shook his head. ―Oh god... this is bad, this is so bad, we've been travelling pointlessly then?
―I don't know, Dan. ―he sighed, shaking his head when Dan stood up from the bench, walking in circles clearly stressed. ―Relax, please...
―How can I relax, Jaekyung? We have to tell the rest as soon as possible! What are we going to do?!
―You don't think clear when you're stressed out. ―he crossed his arms, looking at the omega walk in circles right in front of him. ―Also, it's bad for the baby.
―Of course I can't think of something! This isn't a "We ran out of food" stress, it's a "the place we want to get to has fallen" stress, I don't have a plan for that!
―I don't think any of us had a plan for that.
―How are you so relaxed, Jaekyung? It was your idea to go to Busan and now it's gone!
―Because I went through it in the doctor's office. Now, calm down.
―Don't tell me to calm down!
Jaekyung took a deep breath, passing his hands through his face as he looked at the omega in front of him still walk around, mumbling some words as he thought something out. It was noticeable, both by his body language and the sour scent coming off of him, that Dan was at the very edge of collapse, and that's not something he wants his baby to feel or resent later on. The alpha took a deep breath, extending his hand to grab Dan's and willing to stop his spiraling, looked at him right in the eye once Dan's sight fell right on him.
His eyes, lately covered in a whimsical charm after confirming the state he's in, were now widened in preoccupation, and Jaekyung wasn't having any of it.
―What you're going to do now is that you're going to sit down... ―Jaekyung stood up, shifting places with Dan as he technically forced him to sit back on the bench he was just in. ―And breathe deeply. We'll figure something out, perhaps a brainstorm with the rest will make all ideas flow.
―Fine... ―Dan huffed, resting his back on the bench as he tried to calm down.
But how can he? Not even the pheromones from the alpha, who is desperately trying to get him to calm down, are working, and the more his brain thinks about it he just gets worse, and worse. What's going to happen to them? One solution would be to stay here, but he doesn't even know if they're accepting people, and now that they have the baby situation going on, what is he going to do?
―Relax.
―I'm relaxing, can't you see? ―Dan grunted, covering his eyes with his hands.
―You don't smell like it. The doctor said you have to take great care of yourself now.
Jaekyung sat next to him, looking at his own hands and then at the omega: he didn't liked at all the fact that Dan was stressing so much, even if it was completely understandable, but perhaps what he didn't liked from this situation more than him not being able to do much to calm the distressed omega down, is that he doesn't know what to do either.
