Chapter 35 - Acquiring the Locket

~Hollie's POV~

We wander into the house and while me and Ben head up the stairs, Harry, Ron and Hermione go into the back of the house downstairs.

"Wanna try out one of these rooms?" Ben smirks.

I stop and stare at him.

"Are you mad? You want us to lose our virginity in this stingy place? I don't think so."

"Oh come on, this room looks nice."

As I turn to walk up the corridor, something catches my eye.

"Ben, look," I say as I stare at the plaque on the door. "Harry, Ron, Hermione, come quick, I think I found something."

The three of them come up the stairs and I point to the door.

"Regulus Arcturus Black," Hermione reads.

"R.A.B," I tell them.

Harry turns and goes back downstairs so we follow and find him in the kitchen, sitting at the table with the locket in front of him and the note in his hand.

"I know I will be dead long before you read this," he reads. "I have stolen the real Horcrux and intend to destroy it."

The rest of us sit down.

"R.A.B is Sirius' brother," I say.

"Yes," Hermione says.

"Question is," Ben says. "Did he actually destroy the real Horcrux?"

There's clattering and I remember something so I go to the cupboard, pull it open and grab Kreacher, dragging him across the room.

"You've been spying on us, have you?" I demand.

"Kreacher has been watching."

"Maybe he knows where the real locket is," Harry says.

I grab the fake locket.

"Have you ever seen this before?" I demand as I hold it up.

He shies away.

"Kreacher!"

"It's Master Regulus' locket."

"But there were two, weren't there?" I ask. "Where's the other one?"

Kreacher whimpers.

"Kreacher doesn't know where the other locket is."

"Yes, but did you ever see it?" Hermione asks. "Was it in this house?"

"Filthy Mudblood," he hisses. Death Eaters are coming..."

Ron goes to hit him with a pan but Hermione grabs his arm as Kreacher recoils.

"Blood traitor Weasley," Kreacher continues.

"Answer her," I demand, holding up the locket.

"Yes. It was here in this house. A most evil object."

"How do you mean?" I ask.

"Before Master Regulus died, he ordered Kreacher to destroy it but no matter how hard Kreacher tried, he could not do it."

"Well, where is it now? Did someone take it?"

"He came in the night. He took many things, including the locket."

"Who did?"

"Who was it, Kreacher?"

Mundungus. Mundungus Fletcher."
