R U S S O 10

"Siempre puedes hacer mi tarea por mí," Felix said to his classmate, Teresa, looking down at her as the two walked across campus. you can always do my homework for me.

Teresa smiles, adjusting her glasses, "Professor Atkins would instantly know it was my work."

Teresa was a woman that Felix was becoming interested in. He met her this semester, and the moment he saw her, he put on his flirty persona. He pretended to not have a pen and tapped her and asked for one, making a statement about how he loved her pink braces. He told her that the color made her smile pop, and he watched the redness take over her cheeks.

They may have spoken every day, but he was still unsure if she was interested in him.

"He is good at detecting that shit," Felix mumbles, "I almost failed one of his other courses for copying one sentence," recalling how the man called him to his office about it.

"My friend got expelled for that. By the third time, they were fed up," she mentions, Felix's brows raising.

"Damn, was the first time getting caught not a sign to not copy other people's work?" He asked, making his way over to a table where he spotted Mateo and Anastasia.

Teresa shrugs, "I guess not. She wasn't really the kind of girl who followed the rules."

Felix smirks, "ah, but what about you? You're a goodie goodie?"

She smirks, "I am. Getting in trouble terrifies me. I think that's because my mother tossed so many chanclas at my head as a kid, I knew to not piss her off."

Felix hisses, "is it crazy to say that I could still feel it sometimes?"

"Nope," she giggles, "I get that feeling, too."

The aim was always seamless.

They reached where Mateo and Anastasia sat, Felix stopping at the table and looking down at them. He got their attention by blocking the sun, smiling in their direction when they looked up.

"What are you guys talking about?" he asks, wiggling his finger at them.

Anastasia says, "my grade on my last homework assignment."

To avoid being impolite, she flashed Teresa a modest grin and received a smile in return.

"How'd you do?" Felix asked, and he saw the disappointment on her face before she answered.

"Not good," Anastasia says. This homework assignment was turned in before she had her first session with Mateo, and she got the results back today.

"But we'll get there," Mateo says, "this thing doesn't happen over night."

Anastasia sighs, "I hope so," she says, looking at Teresa again and introducing herself.

"Teresa," she says, smiling back at Anastasia.

Mateo already knew her since she sat a row down from where he sat in Professor Atkins class, but he still greeted her as she did the same.

"I feel like I've seen you before," Anastasia mumbles, looking at Teresa closely.

"Large iced latte, three pumps of hazelnut with whipped cream on top and caramel drizzle," Teresa says, and they share a smile, realization hitting Anastasia while the guys stared at them with confusion.

Teresa worked as a barista at this coffee shop Anastasia used to go to all the time. She still goes there, but she hasn't seen Teresa there in a long time. Probably before the summer.
