"So, the Lockwood's really have no idea that these tunnels are underneath their property" Elena asked.
"Yeah, careful where you shine that thing bats hate the light" Alaric said.
"Wait what" Elena said. "Relax their just bats nothing too bad" Layla said, and Elena smiled at her. "Thanks Layla" Elena said.
"Elena" Layla heard Damon whisper, but Elena turned around scared only to be relieved it was just Damon. "Boo" Damon said. "God Damon" Elena said.
"Scaredy cat" Damon said. "Really big bro that was so funny" Layla said sarcastically. "Just ignore him that's what I do" Alaric said.
"So, you really can't get in" Elena asked Damon. "No seems even the ancient Lockwood's were anti vampire" Damon said. "Which means I can't get in either" Layla said.
"What do you mean ancient" Elena asked. "See for yourself this is as far as Layla, and I get to go" Damon said and Alaric and Elena went down the tunnels farther when they saw engravings in the wall.
"What is all this" Elena asked. "Well as far as I can tell it's a story in simple archaeological terms it's a really old story" Alaric said.
"That right there is a moon cycle" Alaric said pointing to it. "A man, a wolf" Alaric said motioning to the pictures.
"A werewolf" Alaric said. "Yeah, it's the Lockwood diaries Pictionary style" Damon said.
"I don't understand I thought the Lockwood's came here with the original founders in the 1860s" Elena said.
"Well maybe the Lockwood's did but according to this wall these werewolves have been here a lot longer than that" Alaric said. "And how long or are you going to keep us in the dark" Layla asked.
"Long, gets better show her Ric" Damon said. "Names and they're not metic" Alaric said motioning to the names. "They're written in runic a Viking script" Alaric said.
"Vikings" Elena asked. "This name here when translated it reads Niklaus" Alaric said. "Klaus" Elena said realizing.
"And Elijah and Rebekah" Alaric said motioning to the names.
"These are the names of the original family" Elena asked.
"Carved into a cave that's been here since way before the founding of Mystic Falls or even the entire new world for that matter" Alaric said.
"Okay this has gotta be one of Klaus's fakes" Layla said. "That's what I said" Damon said.
"That could be true except the last name up here made us think otherwise" Alaric said. "What's the name" Elena asked.
"Mikael" Alaric said. "Mikael, Mikael as in the vampire hunter who knows how to kill Klaus" Elena asked.
"Yep" Damon told Elena. "And I like to call him papa original" Damon said.

"These images at the very least might tell us what that weapon is" Alaric said and Elena went to Alaric.
