Layla woke up in her and Kol's hotel room and didn't see Kol. She got up from the bed and the door opened, and Kol walked in.
"Morning love" Kol said and gave Layla a quick kiss. "Where did you go" Layla asked.
"I went out and got some breakfast for us" Kol said and handed Layla a bag.
"How thoughtful" Layla said. "I also stocked us some blood in the mini fridge" Kol said. "Quick thinking" Layla said, and Kol smiled. Layla sat down and started to eat.
"Please tell me I'm not eating alone that's just awkward" Layla said and Kol joined her.
"Of course, not love" Kol said. "So, what's the plan" Layla asked. "Well, we are free until Klaus lets me know when we're needed, or I'm needed" Kol said.
"Oh yeah nearly forget that" Layla said and Kol smiled. "Maybe once we're free we could do something just us maybe a walk" Kol said and Layla smiled.
"Sounds perfect" Layla said and Kol kissed Layla's cheek before he smiled.

Kol and Layla were with Jeremy playing fetch with his new dog when Klaus called. Kol answered his phone once he saw it was Klaus.
"Kol how's the weather up there in Mile High City" Klaus asked. "Lovely Nik in fact I'm going to take Layla out once we leave here" Kol said.
"And how's our friend" Klaus asked and Kol turned the camera on to Jeremy showing a video.
"That's him there's Jeremy playing fetch with his new puppy isn't that just the most adorable thing you've ever seen thank you Kol we'll be in touch" Klaus said and hung up.
"Seriously you blackmailed Bonnie into helping" Layla said. "Don't be angry with me it was Nik's idea not mine" Kol said. "Fine your lucky your cute" Layla said.

Kol and Layla were taking a walk like Kol promised when suddenly his phone rang "Oh, one second" Kol said and answered his phone as Layla just watched him.
"What is it Nik" Kol asked once he answered his phone. But once he heard the news his face fell.
"Kol what is it" Layla asked. "Finn is dead along with every vampire he sired please tell me you had no knowledge of this Layla please" Kol said.
"I didn't I haven't spoken to my brothers or anyone I promise" Layla said and Kol nodded.
"Besides I would've never gone with it I couldn't take your family away from you though I must admit I did want Klaus dead at one point but that all changed when I met you sure I'm not your brother's biggest fan but I wouldn't kill Jim he's still your family I couldn't take that away from you" Layla said.
Kol nodded at her and Layla went to him and hugged him. "I'm really sorry about Finn if it helps" Layla said and Kol hugged her back.
"It's alright love we weren't close anyways" Kol said and Layla pulled away realizing something.
"He was still your family" Layla told him before realizing something. "Love what is it" Kol asked.
"So, if you, Klaus, Elijah, and Rebekah die ever vampire you ever sired dies too is that right" Layla asked.
"Yeah" Kol said and noticed Layla's face. "What is it" Kol asked.
"It's about my sire I've always known who it was, but I never wanted to say anything, but you need to know especially with my brothers trying to end you all" Layla said.
"Who is it who's your sire" Kol asked. "Rebekah" Layla said honestly.
"Kol, you have to promise me you won't let anything happen to her if she dies, I die and I can't go yet not when I finally met you" Layla said and took a breath.
"This may sound silly but you're my dream Kol I been waiting centuries for you and now that you're finally here I don't ever wanna be away from you" Layla said and Kol smiled as he took her hand and kissed it before facing her.
"It doesn't sound silly not to me love I promise I'll do everything in my power to keep that from happening" Kol said and Layla looked at him.
"I've seen many things in my thousand's years of life, but I've never seen someone as beautiful as you who in their right mind would ever let you go" Kol asked and Layla smiled.
"Especially me so believe me when I say I promise that will never happen you will not die on my watch" Kol said.
