Layla was helping Rebekah clean up and Caroline walked in seeing them.
"Where's Matt" Caroline asked. "He bailed got called into work at the last minute, but at least Layla was nice enough to help" Rebekah said.
"Eh, just figured you could use the help" Layla said shrugging.
"Are you kidding me so, it's just us" Caroline asked. "Yes, and your late clean up committee started at 8:00" Rebekah said. "It's like 8:02" Caroline said.
"Exactly Layla and I managed to turn up in time, and I didn't even get to attend the dance that I organized" Rebekah said and continued to clean up.
"I'm sorry about your mom I mean I know you like hated her and everything but still I'm sorry" Caroline said to Rebekah.
"I'm sorry about your teacher he seemed like a nice guy" Rebekah said.
"Yeah, he was" Caroline said. "I'm gonna get started on the gym" Rebekah said and left.
"I guess that leaves the two of us to clean up the mess in here" Layla said and started cleaning up with Caroline.
Caroline and Layla stopped when they heard Rebekah in trouble, and they sped to her.
Layla and Caroline managed to push Alaric to the lockers and Rebekah staked Alaric. Rebekah, Layla, and Caroline backed away from Alaric and saw the stake didn't work.

Caroline quickly grabbed Layla's hand and vamp sped them out of there and to her car. "Give them to me" Layla said seeing Caroline struggling with her keys.
Caroline gave Layla her keys when suddenly Layla's neck was snapped, and Caroline looked to see Alaric who snapped her neck next.

Elena heard her phone ringing and went to it but was confused seeing the caller ID said Alaric was calling. She answered the phone and put it to her ear.
"Whoever this is it's not funny" Elena said. "Who else would it be" Alaric said. "Ric" Elena said surprised.
"Listen closely I'm at the school and I have Caroline and Layla and if you want to keep them alive, I need you to get into your car and come down here right away if you tell anyone where you are going, I will kill them" Alaric said.

Elena made her way to the school and went in a classroom to see Alaric was very much alive.
She turned her head to see Caroline with a pencil in her hand with rope on her mouth and Layla with ropes soaked in vervain.
"Caroline, Layla" Elena said to them. "Let them go Alaric" Elena said.
"Free them yourself" Alaric said and Elena started to go to Layla who shook her head and motioned for her to help Caroline first.
Elena hesitated but saw Layla was serious. Elena went to Caroline and went to take the pencil out only when Alaric sped to Elena shoving it back in.
"You said that you would let them go" Elena said facing Alaric.
"How many times do I have to tell you Elena" Alaric asked. "Stop trusting vampires" Alaric said.

"No please leave Layla alone please me please leave her alone" Caroline begged Alaric. "Alaric stop" Elena said getting up.
"Sit down" Alaric said pushing Elena back in her seat.
"This keeps the vervain in her system it's like inhaling razor blades with every breath" Alaric said before pouting more vervain on the ropes.
Layla screamed through the tape in her mouth. "Why are you doing this" Elena asked looking at Layla for a split second worried for her.
"To make it easier on you when you put her out of her misery" Alaric said. "What no" Elena said.
"Isn't this what you wanted Elena for me to teach you how to kill a vampire" Alaric asked. "Well, here's a vampire Elena better yet two" Alaric said offering the stake to Elena.
"Kill them" Alaric said. "This isn't what I want" Elena said.
"Of course, it is all those hours you spent training getting stronger you could be a hunter Elena, but you've never actually staked a vampire through the heart" Alaric said.

"Why are you doing this" Elena asked. "Because you need me because you're an 18-year-old girl without parents or guidance or any sense of right and wrong anymore" Alaric said.
"Look at you how is this right" Elena asked. "They're murderers Caroline told me she killed someone and liked it and Layla she is still Damon Salvatore's sister if anything she is exactly like him not to mention she's dating Kol Mikaelson" Alaric said. "Now how is that right" Alaric asked.
"You see now Elena your parents led the council it was their lives mission to keep this town safe they weren't dead six months before you undid it all" Alaric said.
"You don't know anything about them" Elena said. "Why am I wrong do you actually think that they'd be proud of you" Alaric asked.
"If you don't side with the humans you're just as bad as them" Alaric said bending down to Elena.
"Now kill them" Alaric said standing back up. "Or I'll do it for you, and I'll make it hurt" Alaric said.
Alaric grabbed Elena and took her to Layla putting the stake in her hand. Elena went to stake Alaric, but he stopped her.
"I thought I taught you better than that" Alaric said. "You did" Elena said and dumped vervain on him.
Elena took the ropes off of Layla and the wooden pencil and then took the ropes off of Layla.
"Get help" Elena said. "Elena" Layla said. "Go hurry I'll be okay just go" Elena said pushing Layla out of the room with Caroline and they sped off.
Layla turned around once she sped off when she felt someone grab her from behind and she tensed up going to hit him but stopped once she heard who the voice belonged to.
"Hey, love shh, shh, it's okay it's just me it's me it's okay you're safe" Kol said and Layla calmed down.
Kol then made Layla face him. "Let's get you out of here" Kol said. "What shirt Elena and Caroline" Layla asked. "Klaus is here along with your brothers now come on please" Kol said.
Layla saw the look on Kol's face and took his hand after a moment. Kol smiled at her before vamp speeding away with her.
