"So, Alaric is trying to pull himself together why is that a bad thing" Caroline asked. "I just I wish there was something I could do" Elena said.
"If there was, I believe you would there's just nothing you can do Elena" Layla told her. "Where do you want me to hang this thing" Elena asked Caroline.
"You know what if Rebekah wanted to hang this monstrosity, she should have shown up to do it herself" Caroline said taking the chandelier from Elena.
"Just no" Caroline said handing the chandelier to a fellow student and they left with it.
"What are you doing" Caroline asked Matt and Jeremy. "You can't just hang them they're supposed to trickle down" Caroline said. "Trickle down" Matt said to Jeremy.
"Look at them all bromancy" Caroline said. "Yeah, I asked Matt to help Jeremy readjust" Elena said.
"Huh neat idea he looks almost all the way better" Layla said. "He got his old job back at the grill" Elena said. "That was nice of him" Caroline said.
"Mm- hmm Jeremy's got a lot on his mind the whole thing with Alaric has got him really stressed out" Elena said.
"You, sure it had nothing to do with witnessing you and Damon getting hot and heavy in a skeevy motel" Caroline asked causing Layla to look at Elena.
"You made out with Damon" Layla asked. "She did" Caroline told Layla.
"I didn't tell you that so you could torture me with it" Elena said. "Ah what are friends for so who you bringing to the dance" Caroline asked.
"What do you mean I thought you, Bonnie, and I, were going as girl dates" Elena asked. "Bonnie has a date" Caroline said. "What" Elena said.
"Jamie called and wanted to see her so she asked him" Caroline said.
"And I'm assuming Layla is bringing her new boyfriend" Elena said to Layla thoughtfully.
"Shut up" Layla said. "So how are things with Kol" Elena asked.
"They're great actually really great did I ever tell you girls the first time we slept together was at the Mikaelson Ball and that's kind of how we got together in the first place" Layla said.
"Wait back up you slept with a Mikaelson well was it good" Caroline asked causing Layla to laugh.
"You seem happy like really happy" Caroline told Layla. "Because I am I'm not sure I ever been this happy like I am with Kol" Layla said and Elena smiled at Layla happy she was happy.
"You deserve to be happy Layla even if it's with Kol and I'll never be able to apologize enough for what I did but I will try my hardest to do whatever I can to make it up to you" Elena told Layla.
"Thanks Elena" Layla said to her. "So, here's a thought, why don't you ask Stefan" Caroline said to Elena.
"No surprise there you want Elena to go with Stefan" Layla told Caroline. "I can't ask him on a date I just made out with his brother" Elena said.
"All the more reason look you're supposed to be figuring out what you want that's what Stefan wanted you to do right" Caroline said. "Yeah but" Elena said when Caroline interrupted.
"But nothing I've watched the bachelor" Caroline said.
"You do know just cause you watch that doesn't make you an expert Elena's feelings are her own she can't help who she likes neither can you or me" Layia said.
"Okay fair is fair it is Stefan's turn" Caroline said Ignoring Layia. "Yeah, and you're not biased or anything" Elena asked.
"I'm sorry but Stefan is your epic love and I'm not going down without a fight" Caroline said.

"You know if you really want to, we can ditch early and go somewhere just the two of us" Layla said. "As fun as that sounds we are going to make this the best night of your life" Kol said.
"Are you sure you don't mind coming" Layla asked. "I'm positive hey as your boyfriend it's my job to make you happy" Kol said.
"Okay but the bigger still stands" Layla said. "We will leave once you are ready okay" Kol said.
"Okay" Layla said and Kol took Layla's hand and they headed off to the dance.

"Well, we're here and it doesn't look too bad I guess" Layla said. "Hm" Kol said as he looked around.
He then smiled and offered Layla his hand. "Care for a dance" Kol asked and Layla smiled causing Kol to smile.
"It is a dance after all" Layla said and took Kol's hand. Kol led Layla to the dance floor and the two of them danced together.

Stefan and Elena were dancing together when they looked over and saw Layla smiling happily dancing with Kol. "You wanna know something" Stefan asked Elena. "What" Elena said to him.
"I've never seen Layla this happy with anyone absolutely no one it's like she's been waiting for Kol her entire life" Stefan said causing Elena to look at Layla and Kol again seeing Layla hadn't stopped smiling.
"She's happy Stefan" Elena told him. "Yeah, she is and she deserves to be happy more than anything it's all I ever wanted for her" Stefan said.

"I like that look on you" Kol said. "What look" Layla asked. "You smiling being happy" Kol said.
"I am happy Kol" Layla told him. "Good I like it you deserve it" Kol said. "So do you" Layla said.
"And I am as long as I'm with you" Kol said. "You'll always be with me your all I want" Layla said. "Good" Kol said.
"Because love your all I want too and you will always be the only one on this whole planet who I will only ever want, living and dead" he said making Layla smile.
Layla then kissed him causing Kol to kiss her back.
