"It was their mother Esther who was sealed in that coffin" Elena said. "Their mother" Layla said surprised. "As in the original witch" Stefan said. "What how is she even alive" Damon asked.
"I thought her hybrid freak show of a son ripped her heart out 1000 years ago" Damon said.
"That's what I thought too but she could've had connections she was a witch when she died" Layla said.
"I don't know but Layla is right she could have had a couple of connections in the witching community Elijah said that she wants to live in peace with her family including Klaus" Elena said.
"Wait she seriously forgave her son for killing her that fast" Layla asked. "Apparently" Elena said.
"She was supposed to be the weapon to help us kill Klaus" Stefan said. "Yeah, well not anymore at least not according to Elijah" Elena said.
"That coffin was the only thing stopping Klaus from tearing us to shreds" Stefan said.
"Anyone else feeling a little used right now" Damon asked. "Me" Layla said raising her hand and Damon put her hand down.
"Look Elijah promised me that his family wouldn't hurt any of us" Elena said and the doorbell rang. "I believe him" Elena said and went to answer the door with Damon, Stefan, and Layla following her.
Elena saw no one at the door but when she looked down, she saw envelopes and a box.
She picked them up and closed the door behind her. "What is it" Damon asked. Elena opened up the envelope which had her name on it seeing what it was. "It's an invitation" Elena said.
"Please join the Mikaelson family this evening at seven o clock for dancing, cocktails, and celebration" Elena said reading the invitation.
"Who are the Mikaelsons" Stefan asked. "The original family" Elena said.
"It's not bad enough they're moving into town now they want a housewarming gift" Damon said and Elena turned the invitation over. "Wait there's a note on the back" Elena said.
"What does it say" Layla asked her. "Elena, I think it's time that we finally meet Esther" Elena said reading the note.

"If Esther wants to talk to me maybe I should find out why" Elena said. "Well, that's a dumb idea she already tried to kill you once" Damon said.
"No Elena's right Bonnie was led to open that coffin for a reason I think there's more to this than just some family reunion" Stefan said.
"Can we go back in time to the old Stefan who cared if Elena lived or died" Damon asked.
"What for" Stefan asked Damon. "That's your job now" Stefan said. "You can both still care for her come on where's the old Stef I miss him" Layla said.
"Stefan has a point Damon I should find out what she wants" Elena said.
"You can't protect yourself" Damon said. "Okay fine then I'll go" Stefan said.
"You've pissed off enough originals to last a lifetime I'll go" Damon said taking Elena's invitation. "Hey" Elena said. "End of story" Damon told her

Stefan, Layla, and Damon saw Elena and made their way to her. "What are you doing here" Elena asked Stefan.
"I could ask you the same thing" Stefan said. "Surprise, surprise nice tux" Damon said to Stefan making his and Layla's appearance known.
"Seems we all had the same idea" Layla said. "You're not supposed to be here" Damon said to Elena.
"Well, I am and I'm not leaving until I find out what Esther wants" Elena said.
"Okay you two got this right good" Layla said. "I'm getting a drink" Layla said and left.

"Think I seen you the other night I always remember a beautiful face" Layla heard someone say and looked to see who it was.
"And by your accent I can tell you're a Mikaelson" Layla said and faced him. "I'm Kol" Kol said. "Layla, Layla Salvatore" Layla said and took her drink.
"Layla Salvatore as in the baby sister to Stefan and Damon Salvatore" Kol said.
"You know who I am" Layla said. "I've heard things and I been around though I'm wondering why I never seen you till now you're breathtaking" Kol said.
"And you're a flirt" Layla said. "Only to those I like" Kol said. "Tell me is it working" he asked. "Maybe" Layla said and Kol smiled.
Layla then looked at the party for a moment. "I hate dances" Layla said. "Then why did you come" Kol asked. "To make sure my brothers don't kill anyone or each other" Layla said.
"Well in that case perhaps I can change your mind" Kol said. "Perhaps" Layla said smiling slightly.
"Uh If everyone could gather, please" Elijah said. "Excuse me" Kol said and left while Layla moved closer to where the Mikaelsons were.
"Welcome thank you for joining us you know whenever my mother brings our family together like this it's tradition for us to commence the evening with a dance tonight's pick is a centuries old waltz so if all of you could please find yourselves a partner please join us in the ballroom" Elijah said and Kol quickly made his way to Layla.
"What do you say dance with me" Kol said offering her his hand.
"Why not" Layla said and took his hand, and they went to the dance floor.

"Perhaps after the dance I can show you around give you the grand Mikaelson tour" Kol said.
"Or we can skip the tour and have fun of our own" Layla said.
"I hope that means what I'm thinking" Kol said and Layla smiled causing Kol to smile unaware of the Mikaelsons watching them shocked at how happy Kol looks.
It was time for them to switch partners but instead of switching Kol just spun Layla. "Aren't we supposed to switch" Layla said.
"Yes, but I think it's time we skip and head upstairs unless you're scared" Kol said.
"Me scared of you please" Layla said. Kol took ahold of Layla's hand and led her upstairs to his room.

Once Layla and Kol made it to Kol's room Kol closed the door and used his vamp speed to pin Layla to the wall and kissed her.
Layla kissed him back and took off his suit jacket. Kol helped her and tossed it before unzipping her dress.
Layla ripped his shirt in half and tossed it to the ground before using her vampire speed to speed them to the bed and got on top of Kol.
Layla kissed Kol once again. Using this moment as Layla was distracted Kol used his vampire speed and sped on top of Layla with Layla now underneath him.
Kol ripped off Layla's dress and tossed it before kissing her neck where things got heated.
