"Elijah being human means a fresh start I can grow old and have a family and fill my days with meaning knowing that each one matters" Rebekah said.
"Well, that was poetic" Klaus said. "Shut up let her make her case will you" Layla told Klaus.
"Well, if you can provide us a more compelling reason for wanting the cure Niklaus please" Elijah said.
"Silas can appear as anyone he got inside my thoughts convinced me I was dying he will torment me until I give him the cure" Klaus said.
"And in doing so he will break down the wall to the other side" Layla said.
"So, it doesn't trap him there when he dies, he wants to reunite with his lost soulmate" Klaus said.
"You of all lovesick fools should applaud his devotion" Klaus said.
"He will open the floodgates for every supernatural being that has ever died" Rebekah said. "Including our dear brothers Kol and Finn we'll have our family back" Klaus said.
"Please you hated Kol, and you kept Finn in a box for most of his life" Rebekah said.
Layla got really quiet when they mentioned Kol which they noticed and gave her a sad look. "Elijah please" Klaus said.
"Your personal discomfort might not be sufficient reason for putting the entire world in jeopardy Niklaus I think our sister deserves a shot at happiness" Elijah said.
"Tell me you're joking tell me you're not fating me to an eternity of torture" Klaus said. "I've made my decision" Elijah said and Klaus went to Rebekah.
"When you're sick and you're dying, and you beg for my blood I will laugh in your face and compel you to forget me" Klaus said and left.
"He's clearly not taking this well" Layla said. "Where's the cure" Rebekah asked Elijah.
"Rebekah it's no secret that you are impulsive, emotional and at times morally questionable prove to me this isn't just another one of your whims that you know precisely what you are giving up here" Elijah said.
"Fine anything" Rebekah said and Layla looked at Elijah.
"I want you to live a day as a human this day no vampire privileges no strength no compulsion no nothing if you succeed and still believe this is what you want the cure is yours" Elijah said.

"There you are I been looking for you" Layla said going to Stefan. "You were" Stefan asked
"Yes, I'm not staying long but I came to say goodbye and when Elena gets her humanity back tell her goodbye for me" Layla said.
"You're leaving" Stefan asked surprised clearly not expecting this.
"I have to I don't know where I'm going but I can't stay here everywhere I look or turn I see Kol I can't stay here" Layla said.
"Okay" Stefan said and gave her a hug. "Just be careful" Stefan said and Layla nodded.

"Didn't think I see you here" Damon said to Layla. "I'm not staying long" Layla said.
"I saw you talking to our brother" Damon said and Layla sighed. "I'm leaving Damon" Layla said surprising Damon.
"What no you can't leave" Damon said. "Like I told Stefan I have to okay if I stay any longer, I will turn my humanity off, and I can't do that okay Kol would want that you wouldn't want that Stefan wouldn't want that which is why o have to leave" Layla said.
"Layla" Damon said. "Please Damon" Layla said and Damon sighed seeing she was serious and wasn't going to back down.
"I'm gonna miss seeing my baby sister" Damon said. "And I'm going to miss seeing my older brother, but I still have a phone so keep in touch okay" Layla said.
"Okay" Damon said. "And try being less you if that's even possible" Layla said causing Damon to laugh.
"Where are you going to go" Damon asked. "I'm not sure yet" Layla said.

Layla was packing her things when she noticed Klaus walked in. "Klaus" Layla said once she saw him and faced him.
"If you truly wish to leave, come with me to New Orleans there's some business I need to take care of, and Kol would haunt me for centuries if I didn't look after you" Klaus said.
"New Orleans what business do you have on New Orleans" Layla asked concerned.
"I'll tell you on the way come on car's waiting" Klaus said and left. Layla quickly finished packing grabbed her bag and looked around the room one last time.
"Goodbye Mystic Falls" Layla said to herself before hurrying after Klaus.
