Atlanta Camp, late evening...
"Here bud, you put your log right here. Then Sophia's on top." Tucker instructed, showing the younger children where to put the firewood.
"Like Lincoln Logs," Elle added, crouched down by her brother. Her blonde hair had since fallen loose of its tight curl and more a soft wave now. Eleanor Adams would never admit it, but she missed her curling iron immensely.
"Exactly, Ellie's got the kindling and she'll put it right in there." Her brother continued as Elle put the kindling in the center of the log cabin build and pulled a lighter from her pocket.
"The room between the slats will allow good airflow to keep the fire fed while the logs on all sides will keep it fueled." Ellie explained, flicking the lighter, setting the sticks and brush ablaze.
Rick and Lori Grimes sat held in each other's arms just feet away from the fire. Smiling at the interaction between the Adams siblings and their son. Carl had always loved hanging out with kids older than him, he wished for an older brother more than anything. Rick remembered explaining to the young boy how that was hardly possible.
But then again, the dead walking again was also hardly possible at that point in time. Oh how fast the world changes.
"Smart girl," Rick smiled, Elle looked up at him with a curt nod. He didn't seem to have the attitude that his best friend did, but the night was young and Ellie wasn't fond of getting a second gun pointed at her today.
"Well, we should probably formally introduce ourselves." Dale sighed, sitting down in his camp chair across the way from Rick and his family. "I'm Dale, big ol' RV is mine." The man pointed to the motorhome before looking down at Jim.
"I'm Jim, Dale picked me up on the Highway, I'd lost my family and was hoping to get to that refugee camp." The man sighed. "What a joke that was."
"That's an understatement," Jacqui agreed. "I'm Jacqui, but you know me and T." T-Dog nodded from beside her.
"I'm Carol Peletier, this is my husband Ed and my daughter Sophia." The woman spoke softly with a polite smile on her face. Ed paid no mind to the man he was being introduced to and just laid his eyes on the fire. Sophia looked up cautiously before retreating back to her mother's side.
"How about you two? How'd you get here?" Rick asked the two teenagers who had backed away from fire starting and back to the blanket they'd been sitting at.
"Andi and Amy are my mom's sisters. Dale picked them up on the Highway and made us come with them." Tucker answered, pushing around a few pebbles with his foot.
"Where's your mom?"
"Right here," Rory spoke up from behind the group, leaning up against a tree. Rory Adams hated fire, would almost rather be cold than up against an open flame. "I'm Rory Adams and my children have a habit of not being very polite." She chastised softly.
