The Survivors Camp, evening...

"Aren't you supposed to be inside making dinner with your mom, Carol, and Lori?" Andrea asked without taking her eyes from the binoculars. She practically just felt her niece's presence near the RV, gazing up at her.

"Aren't you?" Elle countered, using her hand to block the sun. She really needed to scrounge up a hat.

"I'm sick of cooking and doing laundry, I want to help keep the camp safe." Andrea sighed, Elle just rolled her eyes. She liked her aunt for the most part but she had a terrible attitude about her. Especially when it came to doing things she didn't necessarily want to.

Sometimes you just have to do things, it's not always going to be fun.

Did Elle want to do laundry or hike ten or more miles in one day? No, of course not. Why the fuck would she find any of that enjoyable? But she did it because that's what needed to be done.

Swallow it and move on.

General Adams had a few perks to his overly repetitive phrase.

"So you kicked Dale off his perch to go do laborious farm work? The oldest person here, very selfless of you," The girl rolled her eyes once more.

"Roll your eyes like that again and they might get stuck in your head." Andrea scoffed, looking down at her niece before keeping her eyes glued to the horizon.

"I'm serious Andi, theres shit to be done and everyone has to help. No one cares if your sick of washing clothes, or sick of picking berries, you don't get to just decide you're done helping..." Elle began speaking, her hands on her hips as Andrea opened her mouth to no doubt retaliate at her niece's words.

"And don't make this some sexist, ultra feminist moment, Rick and Shane are trained to keep people safe. My mom is trained to keep people healthy, just because you can hit some cans now doesn't make you an essential watchman. Sorry your degree in psychology didn't prove you well in the apocalypse," Elle continued to rant until her heart was practically thumping in her head. The summer heat and lack of water was more evident now than it had been all day.

"Oh, and you think you're some gift to this group? All because your daddy was hard on you and you can shoot a gun. You know what you and Tucker are?" Andrea yelled, standing up from the chair and walking to the edge of the RV.

"You two are such spoiled little brats, you get whatever you want all the damn time and spent your entire lives being told you were just the smartest most perfect children in the entire world. News flash! You aren't! They sent you with Shane on that mission and Otis died so he could save your ass!" The older blonde shouted, causing Elle to take a few steps back.

Andrea had no fucking idea what happened on that run.

Elle's heart began to race, her hand clutching her chest as she backed up, that was until she ran into a solid chest behind her.
